He knows that it's in early access. Early access means that some stuff are not perfect and he is just pointing out what could be done to the vehicles to make them perfect. These are suggestions. (which means that this thread should be in the suggestions subforum)
You make a good point. But to me, this thread I can imagine makes the developers feel sad. They work long nights and days to suffer for their art, and you guys complain about it? @BowlerHatJack , I think using the word "suggestions" is sugarcoating it.
No one is saying that their content is bad. They are providing constructive criticism which helps the developers.
Stop picking the worst examples then. Most replies on this thread are constructive. He still isn't saying it is bad, just what could be better
The Bolide's engine seems very basic and bland, not trying to downgrade Gabester's work on the Bolide, but the engine is kind of missing a few details that would fit an 80's super car.
this thread just doesn't seem right... Saying "The legran needs interior work" isnt really constructive criticism, though. Its cust criticism.
Have you seen the interior of the legran? It's full of sharp edges and such. The interior model isn't as good as the rest of the cars. It's known and will be fixed eventually. They've had model issues with the car so there is an good reason for why it's not finished. But I doubt the devs will shatter upon reading this thread. They have developed this game for three years and the forums has been here along the journey. An example of an contructive idea is the idea of having an racing centered K-series. I have always thought that the k-series would fit as an competitive race car. The k-series currently doesn't have much visual customization as you would hope for.
Okay. That I can't disagree to. So what Vehicle? The Miramar. There aren't many custom parts, Its hard to go fast if you install a tuned engine, The 4- lug wheel hubs don't give very good choices, and the front fascia is really ugly.
Gavril Roamer and the D-Series. I know they've got some good parts now, but I feel like there's something missing with the off road parts. Needs larger lifts and or a 4-Link suspension, as well as more parts variety. Maybe like welded glassless doors for off road/derby use and an internal roll cage for the roamer. They also both need a stock diesel engine option, a big 6+ liter like most American trucks would run. All the engines seem undersized for an American market truck. I know mods offer most of these things, but they often break after updates and don't feel very high quality.
I do feel as though the D series and H series need more detailed fascias, e.g. removable headlights etc.
Wow, that was easy. Hypocrisy of the highest order. Guess you'll learn what this all means when your first mod comes up for review. OT: I have various issues with various cars and most revolve around how the jbeams are set up, mainly the Moonhawk/Barstow. I agree the ETK series could use some serious racing/touring goodies. Overall though every car the devs release is a complete blessing and I am very grateful.
Yes. YES, YES! Now you're talking. But then I'm thinking of an awd turbocharged monster with a normal looking exterior.
Well, I do have the game shortly, so maybe I have not yet tested -ALL- possible variants&combinations the default vehicles do offer, but so far, so good. When it comes to my opinion what should be added/changed/tweaked ... there is honestly, not really that much I can say. Maybe, but just maybe, in future version/updates it would be nice to have more body-type options for the Moonhawk* or options to remove glass from doors/tailgate (as someone already said). BTW, as someone said "race" version of Grand Marshal ... there were SS versions of Caprice Classics in 90's, but that was just slamming LS6 V8 from Corvette into full frame car, which ended exactly as in the game ... fast in line, shitty in corners. Unless developers decide to give us total suspension re-work kit, by which I mean proper independent rear multilink. But, why? It looks like a boat, it floats on road like boat ... it corners like a boat, that is the point Not sure if my last few bits of ranting do not belong more into request/suggestion section, but what I am truly missing, is a proper mid 60's american full size sedan, like the deVille or Continental. *- I know there are mods, but somehow the quality provided with original content is top; and not many people creating mods is interested in 60's or 70's american classics
