By that, I mean which official vehicle is in need of the most work? Be it a lesser-than-top-quality jbeam, minor detail fixes, areas that seem like they've never been finished, or lack of diverse options. For me, that would have to be the ETK K-Series. I still notice a lot of spikes when it is involved in hard crashes. It could also benefit from some racing gear, such as a rollcage, front splitter, sideskirt, big diffuser, big rear wing, etc
I absolutely agree, i was about to start a K-Series project along the lines of a race package but if you want to, go ahead, i will help you with some stuff if you need. The K-Series has so much potential as a race car. All it really needs is some basic aero parts (big wing, splitter and diffuser) and a 400-650hp lightwieght V8 that could probably just be taken from the Bolide and some weight reduction.
Agree on the K-series, the deformation on the modern front ETK bumpers could be improved. I also think that the bolide could have a better deformation overall. The rest is very good.
You can write the mod if you want. My experience is only with jbeam mechanical stuff (not nodes and beams), paint designs, and tire textures (created race tires for some wheel sizes that didn't have race tires). I can't really model parts or create a jbeam model
The Grand Marshal. Lacks any kind of racing variant and the car has no use to me that it drives so poorly through corners.
That's just how old muscle cars were. Worse tire tech and big torquey V8 engines means it's easy to get the tires to slip.
This thread is sad. All of the developers work hard, and the final products are stunning. Don't expect them to be perfect, and remember that BeamNG is early access. And half the stuff in this thread is how the cars are supposed to be. Better handling on the GM? Its a big boaty 90's land yacht. I don't think so. Better handling on the Barstow? Enough said. The car is supposed to be "Slidey.".
The 90s pessima. Idk why, but it always struck me as more of a 3rd generation Ford Taurus so I always thought that the Pessima should have a sport-oriented AWD version. Not to mention it really lacks any and all body modifications other than a simple spoiler. But of course that's just my opinion.
yeah. I'm sorry. I should enjoy the cars because of their uniqueness. it would be boring if they were all the same.
it IS SUPPOSED TO BE like a caprice or crown vic. I personally think it looks more like a 90s caprice.
The intention of this thread wasn't to belittle the developers or undermine the great work they've done. Instead, it's to harbor a discussion about what vehicles could benefit most from having more work put into them, whether it be jbeam improvements, minor detail fixes, or more content. And hopefully, the developers would read this thread and take note of what most here are saying. Maybe they are already working on a lot of the fixes, who knows?
