This is a BeamNG 0.8.0 concept, based on my dream to own a rat rod 1929 Ford Model-A Pickup. Due to my inexperience with modeling / jbeam - I thought I would post here with my progress. In hopes to share what I've learned about modding so far, and to get some pointers along the way. If you are into Hot Rods, people usually say they are "built, not bought". So I will show how I am building mine. (stay tuned)
OMG I NEED THIS! --- Post updated --- can you make a stock version of it (I like old cars in their stock form:/ ) --- Post updated --- also where did you get those models in game? I want them did you make them?
I disagree. Go for a rounded look if youre using a roundish car (40s buick or whatever). square it up!
Me too! I plan to have base model, yes. Burnside Model-T (as in T-Series ) All items modded from in-game vehicles (Cred 2 BeamNG) other than the bed, which I plan to redo re-do myself as a beginners exercise in modelling. The model-A's were pretty square, but I get what you are saying. I like round look too. I am experimenting on a sedan edition(with a trunk) that will be more rounded, so will try that there. Some screens from the chop-shop
I really hope this doesn't end up dead. A classic rod like this would be beyond awesome to have in BeamNG.drive. Will the cab fall off like the one on the T-Series?
I hope so. It would be shame if it didn't crash and burn into little pieces Excellent! Thank you for the tip! That helped clean up quite a few edges that got messed up moving things around also.
This the greatest vehicle I've seen on the forums, good luck! Oh, and keeping with the whole "built not bought," will it have a wide variety of engines from all the vehicles in-game? Because one of the best parts of hot rods is crazy engine/body combos
Are you sure that it should be named Burnside? Burnside is Gavril's luxury brand and Ford Model A wasn't a luxury car. And what about more body types?
It's based on a modified Burnside frame, sporting all of the options the current Burnside has. It drives exactly like a short Burnside weighing half as much I could go with Gavril... Burnside just sounds cooler though, more fitting for a Hot Rod. Let me just tell you all, I am a huge hot-rod fan(and big trucks). Pretty much anything you guys want, I want it too. 2-door coupe, a sedan, something more rounded like a Dodge, flathead v8, tri-dueces, 8x2, crazy engines, flame thrower exhaust, skulls and crossbones, the whole nine-yards I have to try hard enough not to get ahead of myself without everyone egging me on
