Hi there! What I have witnessed is that the torque converter type automatics seem to be superior to manual transmissions (by testing 0-60 acceleration times between various cars), now manual types seem realistic with power interruption when shifting, but automatics for the time being are way too efficient. In real world, due to lower power losses in manual types it would be the other way round.
Incorrect, most fwd cars have open differentials, and with such a differential, if you break one output, you get no torque to either output. The Pessima V6 Sport, the Legran Sport, Covet Race etc have limited slip differentials that would be able to still transmit some torque to the unbroken side.
Please check this thread: http://www.beamng.com/threads/logitech-g920-users.34064/ It appears we have an issue with this wheel, but unfortuntaly we do not have one to test. If you guys could send the info I wrote in that thread, it would help us a lot and allow us to fix it The radial menu has been improved. Before it was a all pixel-y and barely readable, with text clipping. Now no more Parking Brake has 2 bindings. On keyboard: - P = Parking Brake (Toggle). Only way to disengage this is to press P again - SPACE = Parking Brake. It will only apply parking brake when the button is pressed. If your car is stopped, it will be engage until you accelerate. On controller we use the second as default, but you can change that via the CONTROL menu. Full choice here. - Clutch is now a separate option under OPTIONS > GAMEPLAY. You can turn on and off that by simply ticking or not the related box.
Or just rename it Personally I start with a clean Documents/BeamNG.Drive folder every update and never had a problem.... Are you trolling, or serious?? Please don't tell me you are serious, lol No complaints here, bugs are already being pointed out... update was 11/10. Beautiful work. I have been playing for over a year, on my petty $19.99 investment. Countless hours of fun, and it just keeps getting better. If I had money coming out of my ears, I'd buy 1000 copies... Maybe I'll buy a few for Christmas anyways.
There are indeed only two modes now, to get the old "Manual Auto Clutch", just use the realistic mode with the clutch helper enabled (Settings -> Gameplay)
We set up a dedicated thread. You can use this instead http://www.beamng.com/threads/logitech-g920-users.34064/ Thanks again!
My only complaint with this update is the clutch. Tested only on the LeGran, but it may be this way for all cars. The clutch acts like a torque converter. I can stand on the brakes in any gear, 0 throttle, and the engine stays running. Drop it in gear with 0 throttle and slowly add throttle; the car inches forward like an automatic. This is not how a manual transmission works. The engine should rev down and die at too low speed in too high gear. The engine should stall if a gear is engaged without throttle. The gears should grind and pop out if shifted with no clutch.
In arcade mode or realistic with clutch helper it's very difficult to stall a car because we try to prevent that the best we can by actually using the clutch As soon as the engine rpm drops below the idle rpm, the clutch will start to open to prevent a stall. Try the realistic mode without the clutch helper (Settings - > Gameplay)
Clean reinstall, your game has some broken files somewhere definitively. http://wiki.beamng.com/BeamNG_FAQ#How_do_I_perform_a_clean_reinstall.3F
Sorted out the FPS problem! Just cleared all my cache folders, deleted some really olds mods and reinstalled. Problem solved ---- Update: Found this, when you alt+tab out of BeamNG, in 720p the resolution glitches.
The Legran, specifically. It feels unfinished, rushed. I love new content as much as the next guy, but I'd rather wait for much higher quality work.
Some minor things I've noticed, 1) the door windows don't line up on the legran and the radiator floating and missing hoses (might not be finished idk) . 2) the sunburst turn signal lights don't line up with the gauge cluster.
This new update is epic! Great job devs! Here a few things that i found : -Burnside special rear broken glas texture is weird -Burnside special old seat node does nothing -Some tires glitch out -ETK K series needs deformation improvments (becuase its very spiky) -Some seat nodes need to be moved up a bit, and some need to have selfcollision enabled otherwise they are useless. -Some seat nodes need some support beams from the b-pillar/door, so they dont clip through the doors in side impacts. For example barstow/moonhawk has them. -Sometimes cars dont work after using Ai
hello, i would like to report that the source "engineThrottle" from the volume modifier "engine_throttle" is not affecting the volume of the engine sound, so there is no difference between full throttle or no throttle. Is that just happening to me? or the source has a new name?.
I know I've reported this before but it bothers me everytime, the rear door on the sunburst doesn't match the front and is just one solid material. Also cup holders are way low poly compared to everything. The black part on the front panel is from the seat AO, not really a big deal as I've never really noticed it before now and only happens without the seat.
