You shouldn't. You have i7-6700k and a GTX 1080. How are you lagging? Maybe try to verify your integrity through steam instead? Doing that usually fixes everything. Check if you have anything running in the background causing lag. Run the game without any other programs running. Try running the game in safe mode.

What issue? How many FPS? Please post a screenshot of your performance graph.

Load Gridmap (do not move the camera or the vehicle)
Go to options > gameplay > enable 'Advanced Mode'
In the sidemenu there should be a new button named 'PERFORMANCE'
Press it and let the graphs fill the screen.
Press ALT+O and paste the link for the image here.

Go to the BeamNG.Drive directory (Steam/Steamapps/Common/BeamNG.Drive/Bin64) and run the 'banana-bench.x64.bat' file.
When done, take a screenshot and post the link here.

Set the timing manually in the BIOS AND set the VCCSA AND VCCIO. with my GA-Z170X

    Using:

    Timing: 16-18-18-38 2T
    Multiplier: 32
DRAM Voltage: suppose to set 1.35v but the mother only allow 1.34 or 1.365v (using 1.365v)
    VCCSA: 1.125v
VCCIO: 1.050v and now everything is stable and running smoothly.
