There's a time and place when you start to question Skypes security, and that time is now. 5 masked, suspicious links, all containing my Skype name in the link, from 5 separate contacts. All in under a weeks time. :/
Im pretty sure Skype has never been a particularly secure service. I can remember LinusTechTips talking about how they got Denial of Serviced while doing live shows because anyone could get their ip address just by knowing their Skype username. On a different subject what is with horror style media and origami? I have never really understood why rooms filled with Origami seem to be a popular thing in games and films.
I think the point was that he has to follow the rules of these forums if he wishes to post on them. Not whether he can view nsfw content or not.
British politics at the moment... holy crap Apparently Farage (leader of pro Brexit) has stated that he is going to be working for Trump in the Whitehouse. marking his own Brexit. Brexit itself is currently uncertain because the Parliament (people who were voted to represent the voters) are now going to get a say in whether Brexit happens and how it will happen, this is opposed to the current political party (with an unelected Prime Minister) having total control. People are now claiming that it is undemocratic that the people who were voted to represent us are allowed to have a say in this matter as opposed to it being decided by a small unelected group of people. One of the major Newspapers (Daily Mail) is moaning that one of the judges who voted to give parliament a say in Brexit is "openly gay" Boris Johnson stated that we are going to make a "Titanic success of brexit", shortly followed by people reminding him that the Titanic sank. Certainly nothing substantial since its just bad wording on his behalf but it did give me a good laugh. The Lincolnshire NHS (my local one) was hit by what seems to have been a pretty nasty cyber attack is still refusing patients. They were attacked on sun 30th and have been closed to anything but serious emergencies since. Apparently they have been redirecting all pregnancies to hospitals in other regions (over an hour a way depending on where you live) as well as "major trauma cases" lets not forget that the snoopers charter is likely to be passed into law very soon. This gives the police permission to "hack into" citizens devices, as well as giving the security agencies permission to hack all devices in a certain region outside of the UK, although the later would require a warrant. In addition everyone's internet history will be required to be stored for 12 months (including date, time and where you accessed it from. This is shaping up to be a very interesting couple of months... I'm so intrigued by Britain leaving the European Union. it's time for you to strengthen ties once again with your former colony. join us in containing the evil oppressive Chinese government. freedom isn't an option xi. we're coming for you.
As I have been saying; Brexit is a brilliant opportunity to set up ties with the Commonwealth nations, and the Anglosphere (AKA, the English speaking countries). I am all for strong trade & military ties with America (seeing as, due to buget cuts, the Armed Forces, especially the navy, are in a very sorry state). Also, with Iceland inviting us into one of the Nordic trade pacts, there is a great amount of trade that can be done.
Just found out who my local MP was, oh dear... https://www.theyworkforyou.com/mp/24790/karl_mccartney/lincoln/votes
Well i just keep getting pissed. Multiple things. First is i can never find ANYTHING at my place. Small or big(i lost the power supply board for a tv just now). I will check everywhere. Then 3 or 4 days later i will pass by the same spot i looked and the thing is there. But it doesnt matter. i already got so mad that i dont even want to do whatever i needed it for. Second, because of the first problem and the fact that i dont really mess around with/have attachment to any of the computers in my place i would like to get rid of them all. But i cant. I am not going to ship, and craigslist in my area is completely dead/flooded. I also cant put in the effort of testing everything, especially if it doesnt even sell nor do i have the space to test everything. And i probably wouldnt be this angry if my mental health was not completely screwed. Another thing that would help is if i could actually get real sleep. I sleep for 5 hours or 12 hours and im just as tired. This then makes my mental health worse and my meds are not as effective when im tired.
Couple ideas. • Getting too much sleep will make you just as tired as getting too little. So make sure you get the right amount of sleep, its probably somewhere between the amounts listed. • Perhaps keeping things a little tidier and more organised might help with things getting lost? Less clutter would likely also make life less stressful in general. • No idea what computers you have but maybe a few of them might be bin worthy (or virtually worthless), so scavenge anything useful out of them (if there is anything) and get rid of them, would save you the effort of selling them. • As I always mention these days there seems to be a tonne of research out there that follows the lines of "healthy body = healthy mind" and exercise and sport are very helpful in that. It won't suddenly turn you into a bastion and shrine for all things mentally healthy but it would likely help. So if you don't move much, maybe walk around a little more, cycle or do a short workout in your room every other day (the free bits of the "7 min workout" app are pretty decent).
first i wanna say thanks for you input and concern. now to the points first point. i have been told that. but its an actual problem for me. I never really get into a deep enough sleep. second point. I wish i could. but lack of motivation and the fact that i work on organizing for 5 minutes then get overwhelmed prevents that third point. very valid and am trying to work on this one actually. i have over 30 laptops and 40 something desktops based on when i counted last. A good portion im trying to figure out what to remove and what to scrap. fourth point. depression is a bitch. I have set my life expectancy to month by month, sometimes week by week. I have no motivation to fix myself and none to even exercise. i have been told that exercising is the key and i just cant make myself do it.
