I think this is a minor bug... i have been driving down the mud course as you can see in the map and the front suspension hit a what felt like a rock, although there isn't a rock there (the truck stopped at the exact spot) it damaged my engine and some suspension parts down under... btw --> No the engine ISN'T turned off it was damaged from the hit keep up the good work it's an amazing map
Hey there I think It is some rock texture hidden by the muddy road decal i use for the trails, so if your truck bottom out and hit it at the right angel, you will mess up your truck, just like in real life, trust me I know how that feels
Very nice. I had a quick play around on it and found it amusing. (Not to mention very legit looking!) It think that it would be great to have a few scenarios on a map like this. Restricting the player's choice of vehicle and route is a great way to add a challenge and get the imagination cooking at the same time. I think that you've done a good job with the textures, mixing and matching things etc. Same with the meshes. Nice! I did note that there may be a few areas where the grid material is still poking through. (I think that's a good reason to avoid using the grid material as a base.) In order to find these areas you can export your terrain to images an check the one for the grid material in Photoshop or GIMP. The material used for your hardpack roads seems to be assigned to a groundmodel which causes tire squeal. That doesn't seem like a good match to me. Do you need a hand with fixing that or is it intentional?
Thank you so much And nice screenshots there buddy --- Post updated --- thank you so much for the kind words And about scenarios, I have not done that before, but I guess it is something I can learn in the future I like the grid material it is so easy to see the contours of the terrain when i`m sculpting it, but yes it is easy to miss some parts when texturing over it, will try to fix that for the next update and about the groundmodel, I wanted a road that did not have dust on it, and used the big rocks texture, I guess that uses the asphalt groundmodel? hope they make a groundmodel that just emits small rocks or dust that settles faster in the future, so I can use that instead
Please take a look at this location: Documents\BeamNG.drive\ You'll find your mods folder as well as several log files. The one labeled beamng.log (eg with no number) is the log file from the most recent time you opened the game. Open the game. Demonstrate the problem. Close the game. Use the "Upload a File" button when replying to this thread and attach that log file.
I tried in the Pessima, I started about 2 hours ago, now I'm halfway.... Along with 20+ resets and a lot of backing up and flying over it
it looks like i will have to wait till a update comes out or a bug fix mby then this problem will be gone.I really dont have a clue whats the problem
Do you mean that you have a pirated copy or a copy from Humble? In either case it's nearly impossible not to have the files I referred to. Look in your Documents folder. If your settings are being saved then you do have those files.
This map needs the latest version 0.7.0.2.0. And if you have a pirated copy don't post then. It has different files than the official (bought) one.
If you purchased the game, simply get the latest version available. If you haven't, consider purchasing the game if you like it, and help out the development.
