I think prominent members who have shown a lot of respect and responsibility on the forums could be allowed to run as part time volunteers moderators. They wouldn't get paid, and they would be considered helper moderators. Whenever they saw somebody breaking the rules, they would report to actual moderators like nadeox1. Then the moderator would take the appropriate line of action for the person breaking the rules. This would help spread the reach of moderating in this community, especially when moderators aren't online. If we had enough moderators, it might be possible to have 24/7 moderation. The moderator could also provide basic bug support to people and/or redirect them to people with more knowledge on the subject, like the game programmers, lua coders, etc. I hope this isn't too much to ask.
There is already this in the forums, we can all do it, it's called the 'Report' button, it can help alert real moderators when there is bad content posted
