If only i had only the mod to worry about, it's important you know, but i have also dead lines for work in the exact same time. Next week i leave for holidays, so i have a bit of pressure. But everything is going fine, no worries.
YAY! --- Post updated --- Just took a quick peek at older pics, the car is the Oldsmobile Delta 88 right? Also, how is the file size?
Vinh, the mod is about the 1980 fullsize from Oldsmobile. So the mod includes the Delta88 Royale Sedan (B body frame), the car that i own, and the 98 Regency Sedan (C body frame) which is a longer car with a totally different rear end. You can see all the differences in the images. The file will be big, because of textures, skins, that aren't the same for the two cars. They have parts and textures in common though. Italy will be an awesome map, i wouldn't like to make this map and read this, though i understand this is humor.
Great! I just recalled this. Few days ago, in search for a repalcement for my old Camry, i went to an out door car sale and there was a Oldsmobile Delta 88. It was freaking beautiful. However, as i checked the engine, the car is powered by a Toyota Camry V6 (Same with my current car engine). I researched and actually find that engine swaps are common and often swapped from original engine to Toyota, Honda or Ford's newer engines, does that give you any idea? I suggest adding an option of more modern engines which sits on custom mounts. It should be nice and add some variety to this great mod.
Well, not really, it just give me the idea the 6 cylinders engine are missing from this mod and i'll add them for the next version. Here in France i saw a 1979 Delta with Mercedes 300D engine for sale, with manual gearbox. Must be a so slow car, omg. A good Diesel V8 is not that slow, despite of specs on paper.
It looks amazing, seriously . You are doing a great work and it looks like you are working on many details, which is awesome.
@SergentFido, knowing that release is two days away, according to your GMT +2 timezone, try picking a universal time that's acceptable for everyone.
Why? If I was releasing stuff. I would be releasing it at a time that is convenient for me to release, and if that just happens to be 2 hours after you've gone to bed, well tough shit you have to wait until morning.
Picking a universal time for everyone on the internet is like having everyone agree on what the most beautiful car ever made is, it just doesn't happen.
In addition to that, and considering it's a free mod, if 2 hours more are needed because of a last minute issue found (and everybody knows such a complicated thing containing jbeams can be) i will take them. Or simply write a proper presentation and credits. I won't rush after one year i begun on this, and once again, i have other things to do with deadlines, and i'll have more issue if i don't do them, more important than knowing who in the world wasn't there the minute the mod was released. Also, i remember having written : no countdown please ! And that the mod would be released when it will be announced "release tomorrow". So what means this 2 days and GMT stuff ? were are the 17th september, at least here, so i have 13 days more and won't be a liar with the first release date i've announced "some day of september". So please, you can ask questions but not tell me when i must release it and the hour, this is a bit too much. Thanks. Do you only imagine the work every little tweaking can be ? How time consumming it is ? At least, i need to keep it fun and enjoy the experience. Rushing between all my obligations is something i have to support with paid job only. But once again, i appreciate it's expected, thanks for that. When it will be announced "release tomorrow" then it will mean i only need to write the credits and presentation, so no worries.
Whoa, man calm down. You originally said it would be released between September 15 to September 19. If you did need 13 more days, that will push the release date to October 2.
