Released Desert Trip - Desert nature island v.1

Hi everybody.

Im here to share with all of you my first map for BeamNG.
The map is composed of a desert island full of dunes (Duneriding, YAY!) with an fresh oasis on it. There aren't any roads, because I wanted to show a natural landscape. The map has got a day-night cycle, so we can ride our favorite 4x4 at night too, or maybe see the sunrise chilling in your fav sport car.
The sure thing is you will enjoy this desert trip.

For installing just unzip the file at "...\BeamNG.drive\levels".

And of course that is not all. This is only the first version of this map. If people like it, I think I'll make more version. Maybe with roads? Maybe with ramps? Tell me what would you like!

This looks really amazing. I'm currently on a mini travel so this is my ipad (no drive. ) but I had to say that. Love the oasis.

Thanks for your work on this map, it looks great! I just downloaded it and have run into a problem, did you possibly forget a file in the rar?

 

Edit: Okay, there was a random "6" in that line of the code. Im uploading the fixed .rar, you got the new download on the first post.

If you could upload it here that would be great, but please always have a mirror. The download here isn't so good.

EDIT: Ok, you can't upload a .RAR file thru Attachment way. I've converted it to .ZIP and it uploaded succesful. The main download now is via attachment, then you got too the Mediafire mirror.

 

Hey Deinol,

Glad I could help with the error, I just downloaded the updated version and it looks like you made some progress. I am no longer getting an error when loading the map and I'm not driving on water, but there is a problem with the textures not loading correctly. Take a look:

Edit- I am using an Nvidia GTX680 and an Intel I7 3770k if that helps at all.

 

Did you unzip it? If not, do so.

If you extracted it, make sure one folder isn't inside another one.

If nothing works try redownloading/reinstalling.

 

Yes I unzipped the archive into the correct location, just tried re-downloading and installing the map and I'm having the same problem (tried both links). Is it working for you eletricmano?

 

Having the same problem, but on an ATI Radeon 6330M.

Do you get any errors while loading the map? If yes could you post a screenshot?

 

Weird, I'm not sure what could be causing it then. I don't get any errors when loading the map, the vehicle spawns fine and I can drive around the terrain, but none of the textures are working.

 

You would have to manually texture the terrain I guess.

 

its abunch of no materials. your map is broke, or it might be because i use an nvidia

 

I'm getting the same No-Texture error on my Laptop (haven't tried the game on my much stronger desktop since I'm not in the same state).


No errors or anything, it's something wrong with the .ter file.

 

Basically this, and I'm running Nvidia.

 

I get no texsture all over the map (as other people), newer seen the problem before, I have a 7970.

maby it works if you upload it one more time or another place?
