unfortunatly i have school sooner than i thought... which means finishing the jbeam is gonna take some time. i finished the cab's nodes tho.
of course you can help sending a pm rn --- Post updated --- i got an error when trying to start a conversation: The following error occurred: Participants: You may not start a conversation with the following recipients: FLyInG 2 YoUr SoUL.
Got it! Will put your awesome work to good use! As for Max-D: lights fully functional! Now all it needs is a licence plate to be pretty much road-legal... Yeah, right... --- Post updated --- I think I'll need to make Max-D a separate vehicle. I can't seem to get the skin system to work properly with two body styles on the same chassis (once I enable the skin slot for each body, all the skins for that vehicle show up, regardless of the shell in use), so I'll probably split them by the time of release, unless someone can suggest a workaraound for this issue.
Yep, I know. I had a similar thread about skin and skinnable elements in Questions and Support last month, so I chose to bump that instead, but so far I got no answer. And now I don't want to cross-post... That... might have been a bad idea after all...
You can ask for your thread to be moved rather than cross posting. Drop the mod support team a PM and ask that they take a look at your thread and move it to Mod Support!
ok thanks, sorry if i confuse you or anyone else im not so much of an expert on any of this lol --- Post updated -- --- Post updated -- --- Post updated --- question, i downloaded the file you gave me and i put the file on my desktop, i found the /Documents/BeamNG/mods/ folder and then i drag the CRD monstertruck file into the BeamNG mods document but it wont let me, am i doing something wrong?
sorry if i am being a little stupid, but i can't find the download link with all of the bodies for the monster truck. Can you drop a link?
You can find it here. The attachment ended up buried by the subsequent posts, so it's admitedly not that easy to find. Will be updated in the next few days to include some fixes, stronger brakes, a couple more shell designs for the original body and a brand new alternative body, so stay tuned if interested!
I can only hope! This is likely being included, only a few details left to be worked out: --- Post updated --- Well, there's a little problem with the engine and the Torque Curve app...
@torsion Could this be used in combination with this to recreate... something like this? --- Post updated --- So I found some significant asymmetry in the beam structure, which was the cause of the odd behaviour of the chassis at high speeds. Fixed, so this is back on track... Here it is. Love the obvious suspension pitch as the boost kicks in... It's probably VERY inaccurate - if anyone has insight to share, every little help is welcome, this is not my field of expertise at all. PSI rating might need a revision, but here goes... The Torque Curve app can't tell me what the power output is (investigating the issue right now), but peaks were @ around 1400HP. That should do it.
the suspension picking up with the boost is very accurate, monster trucks do do it in real life but it is more prevalent in rock crawlers where the suspension is softer. and about that video, at least someone is taking care of the old trucks (the promoter owns both Big Pete(from the 80s) and Grim Reaper(from the 90s) which i love the fact that he does still use them and takes care of them
