May I remind you folks that this discussion's purpose is to talk about/ask questions about this vehicle, not exchange "more menacing looks." (sorry to back-seat moderate, but things get on my nerves)

On topic, what type of engine is the LeGran going to be driven by? Will there be fast versions as well?

    I doubt it.

Looks like a classic american midsize of the '80s (the Chrysler K series comes to mind).

Inline 4 cylinders and maybe a V6 for higher specs are more likely, IMO

    I don't. V6 and I4 are possible but V8. It won't be an American car without V8
    (Just my opinion)

Most FWD American 80s sedans didn't have V8 engines, only a few of the bigger ones like the Cadillac Deville did. Cars that are similar in size to the LeGran such as a Buick Electra, Dodge Dynasty, Buick Century, Oldsmobile 88, Chrysler Lebaron, Ford Taurus, Pontiac Bonneville, and so on never had V8 engines as an option.

To add to that, the most likely engine for this car is a V6 or an I4

I actually can't think off the top of my head what 70s and 80s boats had an I6, although, I suck with cars.....
But, I know that those big caddy bricks had a ancient huge V8, but only because I went to a demo derby where they needed 6 cars and a van to take it down....

There are very, very, very many American cars made without V8s. The LeGran and the cars it's based on are a few examples.
It's FWD with a transversely oriented engine. The chances it will come from the factory with a v8 option are very slim.

Although if it will have a V8 (and some power-adder setup), it would be pretty much the perfect sleeper.
