    Yeah, they are, they have two 3000 Horsepower Diesel engines.

    That sure is an odd looking locomotive.

    However, I think Britain and America have a lot more experience with locomotives and are far advanced then the rest of the world.

    Yes, but we are still more advanced overall. About 93% never sees a train that reaches 60 mph.

    Plus I heard Maglevs aren't as safe as trains with wheels.....

    What? They are just as safe as trains with wheels. Possibly even safer, because the vehicle has the sides around the track, so derailing is a lot harder than with normal flanged rail wheels!

    Yes but at those high speeds when two trains pass each other, the rapid pressurizing and depressurizing causes huge stress on your body and the train. Hence why the Maglev has had several fatal accidents.

    But at the speeds Maglevs are going, the same would happen to conventional vehicles.

    The Maglev's also have had several mechanical problems with the polarity systems.
