Interesting. I didn't know that Australia was involved in the Vietnam war.

Also, I heard a stat today that, collectively, ABC, NBC, and CBS have spent 6x more time talking about the shooting of a gorilla than they did about the beheading of 21 Egyptians by ISIS. Our world is really screwed up. *

*Sorry if this is too political; I'm not quite sure where the line is supposed to be drawn.

A few nations besides the US were involved.

The gorilla thing has ticked me off. Parents are being sued for neglect of the child, yet zoo get away scot free with having a gorilla pit that a child can fall in? And the mcanns that abandoned their kids in a drugged up state in an unlocked house while they went clubbing, they dont get neglect charges.

Now I know, I guess. I just checked on Wikipedia (not the most reliable source in the world, but they seem to be decent for things like this) and saw that Great Britain, among other countries, gave 'support' to the anti-communist side. Does that mean financial support, or that they gave supplies?

Yeah. I do wonder how the kid was able to get in, not only without his parents seeing him, but also everyone else who was around.

So, uhh... I did this today.

I now fall somewhere between an air-cooled Fury and a Nano in terms of compute performance. All powered by a new-refurb Corsair HX850i.

People are trying to throw blame everywhere. Nobody is really at fault. The zoo works to keep the animals contained, it's common sense (except to a 3 year old child who wouldn't know better) that you don't get in the animal's habitat. Yes, the parents lost track of their child for all of 15-20 seconds, according to witnesses. I can't imagine it being very hard to do when you've got 5 of them. Do you really expect the parents to keep a constant eye on their all of their children? At my local zoo, the barriers would be incredibly easy to cross from the people side, but that's because the viewing areas are raised above the animal's floor. It's an effective way to keep the animals contained. And there are plenty of signs telling you not to cross the barriers.

Oh yeah, i have young siblings, kids run off, kids slip out of sight, its what they do. I think its stupid that the parents are being sued for neglect.

Likewise. I don't think anyone should be held responsible. The child is too young to know better, the parents shouldn't be expected to keep such a close eye on their children, and the zoo had no other option that guaranteed the safety of the child. The only blame that can be cast is on the zoo only if the barriers were not maintained properly. Otherwise, there is no reason for anyone to take any blame.

I know right! If that kid hadn't been monkeying around and fell into the enclosure, then we might be able to cover more important news topics. It's a good thing though that no guerrilla tactics were used, otherwise things could have gotten a lot worse!

On a more serious note, today was a good day!

Did someone try the new quick menu for the relative camera mode yet? It has some lights and clipping options to look at the vehicles very closely :D

Speaking of which, shouldn't the instrument cluster have a piece of clear plastic in front of the dials? Just a small nitpick ;)

I've decided I'm going to run my new Crossfire destroyer of worlds through Firestrike. It crushed Unigen Heaven maxed out (29 FPS avg., full medium, single card; 70 FPS avg., completely maxed out (extreme tessellation, ultra presets, max AA), dual cards). I can't wait, my dream PC is treating me well now.
