Interesting how quickly technology either shrinks or gets more advanced. It's also funny to think that the computer I'm using (and the same goes for nearly everyone else here) is more powerful than the Cray XM-P, the computer that, in Jurassic Park (in fiction, of course), was used to create the dinosaurs.
You could also make software on it that could put a spaceship on mars, or you know, just browse cat photos instead xD I just dropped my foot on top of my pedals, my heel is now cut. Thankfully my blood circulation is so poor there is only a little blood and it isn't pouring out of my foot.
Have any of you guys ever had to share a gaming pc with one of your parents? my mum just brought a new gaming pc and we have to share it as it is currently the fastest computer in our house.
My gaming pc would scar people for life because of certain files on it. Luckily i live alone and the only person i have scarred was @Funky7Monkey . he hopped onto my computer, went to google and typed something and i scarred him with my bookmark suggestions.
That sounds rather strange. A PC good enough for home use costs under $400. However, a gaming PC costs much more. What happened to your rig?
I share my PC with my family. So much adware I have to clean out and so many pointless games installed.
There is a reason why I bought 7 questionable computers for $4 each. My family doesn't do anything that a potato can't do.
My mum would and sister would occasionally ask to use my computer to watch a film or something on iplayer since it was the only computer that could do it. Plus the 1080p screen and 5.1 sound and bed to watch from was probably advantageous too. To explain further Samsung netbook - not powerful enough to play online video + It is still running xp to this day. Equally it is treated as the secure computer for doing secure things (despite telling them many times they shouldn't have xp installed on anything at this point). Office PC - Does not have flash player, does not play most video formats either, also runs windows 8 (not 8.1) and therefore is difficult to use for most people, also has user accounts to prevent any software installs etc. (my dad prefers to keep his computers very minimalist and clean, I prefer to load my computer to the hilt so I can throw basically any task at it and have software to deal with it) But my sister has a laptop now. So they sit in her room and watch iplayer and movies on that laptop. Which is a shame considering they have a 1080p ips screen and 2.1 speakers in the office which would offer a far nicer experience than the laptops small 768p (cheap tn) screen + laptop speakers. Equally my computer does not contain any material that would "scar" people so that isn't an issue. Although I must admit Doom would probably "scar" my sister.
I have been using a laptop most of the time. My mum was thinking of getting back into PC gaming also she needed a computer for uploading pictures of her horses onto Facebook. The CPU in it is awesome this is the computer running one vehicle on Utah on normal settings. and some other random vehicles including the T75
while i cant argue if she genuinely is a pc gamer. Horses, facebook, high end rig.... *splits sides with laughter*
well she may be middle aged but she has been playing video games since the era of the commodore 64 when there was no such thing as a PC mouse.
Your mom is into PC gaming? I wish I had a mom like that as a kid me and my dad were the really tech-savvy ones when I was a kid. Imagine your mom saying "ShrekNoob1337420, get rekt!" while sniping ShrekNoob1337420 in...what's a good FPS game, the CoD series is not my thing...uh...Unreal Tournament 3! Black Edition! Well, that feeling of seasonal depression is starting to creep back into my life. I usually get it during the summer months, and I feel fine during the day but get really sad/depressed sometimes at night. Is it weird that the sound of my air conditioner in my window upstairs makes me think of seasonal depression? I only use it during the summer months. I'm stupid. I meant to put shorts on after I took a shower earlier so I didn't overheat, and guess what? I put pants on. In terms of some car-related speak, my '15 WRX is currently at the dealer. Desperately needs an oil change and the thermostat's been acting up. Expecting to have it back in a little less than a week. The dealer was nice enough to loan me a 2015 Legacy while my car is getting fixed. Pretty nice car. For some reason I've been really interested in virtual machines lately, so I figured why not show this? I've just been messing around with it lately, might test some viruses on it sooner or later.
Interesting. Fun fact: did you know you can use a product key from Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 to activate Windows 10? Just thought I'd throw that out there. I used a key from an old Compaq PC with Windows 7 I have to activate my machine I built 2 months ago. Well, this isn't good.
I feel exactly the same. I guess if you're taught at a very young age it seems unnatural to not be able to swim.
