Hey, I'd like to present you "The Bulli", this is an Volkswagen Bulli which I downloaded on Tf3dm. It came with the model and the textures, besides from those two things I made everything on that car by myself. It took me all in all about 2 days to do this mod, so its nothing too special and too good, its just a test for me to learn all that vehicle creation stuff a little bit better; but I thought that it would look for some screenshots or videos etc pretty good so Id also like to share this car with you. Please note that this was a really simple model so the bus got like no real interior and the main body also not the best . It feautures: Working Steering wheel Custom Sounds Half working lights Nice paintjob Own Jbeam Some more stuff Emission System FPS friendly New crash sounds I have to say that the jbeam is based on the h-series but I modified it to fit the Vw Bulli. It was really hard to find a jbeam for it because it has a completly different shape to the other beamng cars but the result is pretty okay. On the upperhand side there are also bugs ; alot bugs, but I didnt invested that much time in a that simple model so I will not list all of the bugs. Jbeam spikes alot Suspention sometimes break Some parts are wobbeling alot No glass damage Emission are coming off the wrong way I think I said everything, if there should be any question, feedback, videos etc just write a comment Download to the original model: http://tf3dm.com/3d-model/vw-bus-46211.html Finally the Credits which are not too much : 3dregenerator = Original Textures + Model Beamng = H-Series Jbeam schumacher (Me) = everything else And here a quick guide how to install this mod (btw I will try to upload it to mods section, so you can install it easier) Put the downloaded "Vw Bulli" folder in Documents/Beamng.drive/mods And finally some screenshots : Wanna support my work ? Check out my YouTube Channel : Erik Reinbold Hope you enjoy this mod , see you in my next thread
Good job OP! It makes me happy to see how much you progressed in mod making (aswell you, as forum user), there is a giant leap forward. Keep it up
I checked the website where you downloaded it, and it looks like (judging from the related section) the model came from Ride to Hell: Retribution.
The rear suspension is not centered, so the one of the wheels will pop through the fender skirts sometimes...
Such a fun little car, I'm glad you decided to put it in BeamNG. I found a bug though and thought I'd let you know about it though. Whenever the car crashes the back panel (shown below) comes off and usually floats around the car. The glass also deforms with the rest of the car, and is pretty spiky.
If you want to see something very cringy about this mod, drop something heavy onto the roof from high up and watch the way it ends up. But this is the joys of creating your first vehicle mod and if this is only your first mod i have high hopes for you in the future as it is a great start.
I know that it isnt the Best at all , I also said in my post that it spikes alot. In a few days I will Release the delta which will be much better quality; so this would be even my second mod.
From a force feedback perspective, Truly convincing. The Jbeam and overall design result in a chassis just about what I would expect from a VW bus. Performance might be a tad optimistic, however the high center of gravity, plus the unexpected over-steer on hard cornering and acceleration make this an enjoyable piece of poop to drive. Steering resistance stays true to tire adhesion right to the limit realistically. Excellent mod
This is cool! It's like taking a jeepers creepers truck and putting it into here. I like the funky bulli style
Looks Cool. Now the UAZ 2206 Loaf has a similer buddy to HOON around with... Yes I got the Loaf from another website but I only think it's hosted elsewhere to get around internet censorship in certain countries instead of it being assumed as stolen. But it's most likely stolen. Flame away
Possibly the only volkswagen type 2 vehicle mod in beamng drive ever and probably ever will be. Though i do enjoy this thrown together mod alot.
