I'm hydrolocking the engine just before I reach the third checkpoint... --- Post updated --- The water is mean when heading to checkpoint 7. --- Post updated --- DONE! That only took... something like 20 tries? So... the water level doesn't rise after checkpoint 7?
It does, but to prevent too much flickering, I stop the water moving when you get 2 meters below the surface. This is normally deep enough to kill my engine, but it seems you managed to get out without hydrolocking it. I'll up the distance to something like 5 meters when I get home (because no, 2:33 is not nearly fast enough to make it).
Purely logical question: What would happen if you'd reach the top but he water is still rising? Helicopter?
Tip: Revving makes the hyrolocking happen faster. Let off the accelerator a bit if submerged. Bug?: The water level suddenly shoots up near the 7th checkpoint. --- Post updated --- Another completion! I was faster this time! Again, the water level didn't raise after checkpoint 7. EDIT: Seems it stops between 7 and 8... (Rain disabled for screenshot visibility) --- Post updated --- Got some videos! Water rises fast and stops: Water rises fast: Water rises fast but doesn't stop there:
Not a bug: the water speed constantly changes, to match the steepness of the track. The road suddenly becomes a lot steeper at the 7th checkpoint, so the water is set to speed up too. Yep, that's the flickering-prevention-water-stops-at-2-meters "feature". I removed it for the new (1.0.1) version.
i like this but I can.t get to the 1st checkpoint water gose to fast when I am on the hill the water like 5ft above me in 2 seconds

Head left at the start and climb up to the road. I believe the rain effect is to blame for some of the performance loss... If I disable it, my CPU usage goes down from 44% to 36%.
I tried that and I still drowned the car. I swear this water rises faster than Usain Bolt. Can't this water speed be toned down to like 3/4 of it's original speed? The poor Roamer on my end just can't stand a chance; the water's too quick. Here's my computer statistics, if you're wondering: PROCESSOR: Intel Pentium CPU 2117U @ 1.80GHz INSTALLED MEM.: 8.00 GB SYSTEM TYPE: 64-bit OS, x64-based processor OS: Windows 8.1
Please, for the sake of everyone's eyes, don't use the awful giant text. Also, calm down, mumboking didn't have to make the mod,or release it. People who over-react like this only discourage modders from releasing mods.
This is why I hardly use the fourms Back on topic. I love this scenario, its really challenging and fun. Took me 4 tries to do it but was totally worth it!
Only 4 tries? Wow... --- Post updated --- With the new version, I've only just managed to make it to checkpoint 12... I think that water rises just a tad too fast. You need to drive perfectly. One mistake means you're going to fail. I'm using a keyboard, so I can't brake well... That turn just before checkpoint 4 gets me almost every time. --- Post updated --- OH WOW! I MADE IT! That time would have been a few seconds faster if I hadn't got caught in the trees as I turned in there...
Let's make it clear, if you have less than 20FPS, your game isn't running in realtime, breaking the scripts. Nothing to blame to the author of the mod. I miss those times when modders were praised for their free work, nowadays people just pretend and pretends. Did you forget they see just normal people doing stuff for fun and sharing with you? @Benjamin Tam unacceptable behavior..
I have no clue how I did it in four tries, I think I have gotten lucky since I just now did it almost 9 times and I still haven't gotten it
Oh, and to continue being on topic. This map is laggy as hell, I get 30-40 FPS on this map. JRI by it self gives me like 60-70 FPS. That makes it hard to complete it. I'm not sure if the map is designed to be laggy to be challenging, whoever created this map should probably fix the lag problem.
It's laggy because of the water rising. I don't get why some people don't realize how much the water affects framerate, especially when it is rising
