The Sequoia is a reasonable alternative, but the CX-9 isn't, not anywhere close. Completely different vehicles. You called it slow, and slow applies to speed/acceleration. Sped =/= Handling. A big suv doesn't need to and can't be expected to handle well. 0-60 will matter far more to an SUV than handling ever will. You aren't gonna carve backroads in a Suburban, but you will be merging onto highways towing/hauling heavy loads. I have my reasons for liking Suburbans. If I were a fanboy, I'd like them exclusively for the bowtie on the front end. That has nothing to do with it. I'm just going to quote what started this all and let it speak for itself.
im thinking of buying myself a new car and selling my octavia i would get 28000€ for it and i would love to have a pickup truck but i dont know wich one because from the looks i love the ram rebel but i also like the ford the thing is that here where i live i can have neither of thoose and i have to import them
Saw a Toyota Tundra in person today, holy crap. That doesn't even look like a Toyota, looks like a massive "wannabe-American" (In a good way). Although I gotta say, I'd prefer a Hilux.
Americans want pickup trucks so Toyota supplies them the goods. This is one reason why Toyota became so successful.
mate of mine is nuts I think. Wants to modify a mk1 micra to set a sub 10 minute lap on the nurburgring. Good 75mph average speed through 100+ corners over 12 miles. Hmm.
Okay, I'm just going to stop this stupid argument, it's just a waste of time. Feel free to keep wasting your time by private messaging me, but I'm letting you know now that I will not reply. After this reply, your fanboyism will not be replied to by me. Your IQs, Potato and redrobin, are below 19. If you actually were intelligent people you'd know what I meant by that. To be fair, older Chevy products are fairly reliable. But, starting in about 2006, reliability of Chevy products went WAY down. Just read reviews of 2006 and later cars from Craprolet, and you'll see what I mean. For example, another relative of mine has a 1998 Blazer, and it just needs a jump start every 6 or 7 months. The battery is original, and said relative doesn't exactly have the dough for a new battery. I would get them a new battery, but I personally think it's time to replace it with something a bit newer. Like I said, IN MY OPINION, the only good GM vehicles are the Corvette line, and the 2013-present SS, which I neglected to mention earlier. "Rental vehicles are beat to shit." Where the hell do you go when you rent a car? The rental cars where I go are always clean and in working order, except for the PT Cruisers the rental companies still have for whatever reason. Luckily I don't rent those. A rental vehicle IS an accurate representation, unless they're beat to hell, like the ones around you. Those ones don't count. "Slow apples to speed/acceleration." And why is this sentence needed? 10 minute old children who don't even know what a car is know that. But seriously, how many SUV owners actually go faster than 70 mph in their SUVs?
Oh god, I can't even argue with you anymore, thanks for ending it. It's sad people this small minded are allowed on these forums...
Small minded? Here, let me school you: Opinion: a view or judgment about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge not necessarily based on fact or knowledge Seriously though, that's my last reply. And let's keep this thread on-topic. Well, I just ignored you and Potato.
The only time I get passed on the highway seems to be CUVs and SUVs driven by soccer moms on their phones and I do 80mph on the highway during my daily commute with the Grand Marq. I've put 20k miles on the Merc in the year and a half I've owned it and 16k on the Ranger since I've gotten my license. I drive quite a bit.
Well, I can take a thoughtful, well structured and well informed opinion. But the nonsense you keep spouting is, quite frankly, hilariously inaccurate. Do you even know how the world works? Do you even know how the rental industry works? There are some special trim levels automakers only offer to the rental market. There are some vehicles (called "fleet vehicles") that automakers only sell to the rental market. The later Ford Crown Victoria is a good example of this. But you, uttering this unintelligent drivel, is just... Hilarious. You're so absorbed in you own opinion that you can't admit to the fact that you're wrong. I honestly do hope that you ignore me, I really do.
You started this, if people want to buy GM SUVs then let them buy it, that's their choice not yours that you force it. and calling people "fanboy" for having a different opinion is stupid, you'd do the same thing if someone said the same thing about the car you like. And where I live 70% of SUV drivers drive 130+ Km/h (~81+ mph) __________________________________________________________________ Anyway. Someone said these look like Octavia. I guess he's right. And i drove this thing for 80 Km with almost no brakes.
And that's exactly why I used the word "opinion". There are so many ignorant people on these forums, I've had to Ignore 3 (yes, three) of them within the PAST HOUR. And to the nice, non-ignorant people on the forums, thank you.
Woah, woah, woah, hold up here. I could understand sombody calling somone else ignorant over something like politics. But all I did is say I like the chevy suburban.
