I've always realized that too with general motors trucks.

Visibility, bonnet slopes down some, you can see road a tad better. Some people install levelling kits to compensate for the factory pitch and find the vehicle feels much higher just from the way you are now looking straight ahead rather than downwards slightly.

Yes, all pickup trucks, from the factory, have a rake to them. Usually about an inch for half tons, and 2 to 2-1/2 for 3/4 and 1 tons, Due to the larger spring pack.

4wd's will usually sit closer to level, although still having a slight rake.

Yes, leveling kits are very popular, but, then if you put anything in the truck, it squats, and looks dumb. And, at least for some older Fords, takes alot of weight off the front axle, and makes the the steering very loose.

If you shorten the bed & extend the cab, a dual cab wouldn't actually look weirdly long.

    Why even shorten the bed?
Okay, yeah. Probably a bit shorter.
Also, there should be versions of the D35 with things like towing ramps, as seen on the Dodge RAM 3500.

Doesn't look too weird/out-of-place when full length.

Well, theres a couple issues with that, This truck is too old, Crew cab / super short beds only became a thing a few years ago, and then only for half tons.

I assume this truck to be somewhere in the late 80's to very early 00's, which means there would be no half ton crewcab,
Very few and far between ext. cab short beds, and there would be no such thing as a short bed dually.
(I know I said otherwise before, turns out the trucks I saw were aftermarket conversions)

Put simply, the order of most common would be something like this, RCLB, RCSB, ECLB, ECSB, CCLB.

Another thing, I can't phucking stand crew cab short beds, The proportions are just wrong. Is it an oversized car?

A lot of people probably use them as such. The term "cowboy Cadillac" doesn't exist for nothing.

That seems better to us aussies as we aren't used to long trucks/utes. That is similar to the holden crewman sizing

Well the super short beds are getting more popular here, Now I think every manufacturer does it, but I still hate it, I have a hard enough time tolerating a normal 6.5 ft Short bed on my silver 95 Dodge, I hate having to leave the tailgate down all the time, plus, It doesn't look as good as a long bed would have.

I'll never own another, I've even considered buying an ECLB frame and long bed, then putting everything from this truck on it.

I'll say it again, take everything I say with a grain of salt.

Why isn't this included as a variation, its the work of a genius. The bed however should be normal length...

Thinking about the dually today. Was just wondering does the front axle have dually spacers to put the front wheels out to cut the path for the dually? If not, I think it would be nice to have.
