Does this happen at a certain location? If it does, please post a picture of it here. Honestly, I have no clue why the FPS lags when skidding.
This same issue was annoying me too, but I saw a fix for it on this post: http://www.beamng.com/threads/racing-pack-5-cars-2-maps.7868/?highlight=Pikes+peak I have tried this myself and it sorted the fps drops while wheelspinning or drifting (Pasted below for convenience) Note: This is a very easy and quick fix, but IF you save, you will NOT see skidmarks in BeamNG again UNTIL you put the value back, in the same way. If you do not save, you will have to do this quick-fix every single time you load this particular map. 1: Press F11 2: Find this "Decals Editor" button in the top left: 3: Press tireTrackDecal 4: Put "Size" to 0:
You'd be my hero forever if this works. Trying now. I don't think we care if we see the tire marks anyway --- Post updated --- I LOVE YOU. UPDATING COMING NOW --- Post updated --- [SKID LAG FIXED. PLEASE DOWNLOAD VERSION 11.1 +] Thanks so much @EroticCornetto ! *kiss* Version 11.1 in first post as "Desert Highway.zip"
iheartmods updated Desert Highway Version 11 with a new update entry: SKID LAG FIXED Read the rest of this update entry...
i dont know what happened between version 9 and 11 but my fps dropped so much its unplayable, luckly still have 9
Weird. Are you sure you're on the most up to date version of 11? (11.1 is the newest) --- Post updated ---
It seems that you never released the new version. I still have lag when drifting, braking etc. I swear I deleted the old version and downloaded it again today and put it in the mods folder. --- Post updated --- Confirmed:
Known Bugs: Tires clip through decal roads. This is not so much a bug anymore as it is a requirement of the decal roads. I could make this go away but the decal roads flicker like utter madness.
yea, i made sure i did, i went to the old one and did the tire skid fix that was done for this one, cause that wasn't helping my fps either, still a great and fun map
I definitely changed this number for the latest version. --- Post updated --- I just confirmed for myself by removing all DH files from my PC and downloading the map again and the number is at 0. Did you delete your cache????
I noticed on DH V.10 that some of the roads were 2-3 feet high and once you fell of it you couldn't get back on. Has this been fixed in V.11?
On a large scale yes! Most of the mesh roads have either gotten guard barriers, edges, or are straight enough where you crashing is unlikely. Decal roads maintain a larger presence now. Download the update!
