I don't see any older posts about this, so this is mostly a question for the devs. What do each of the settings actually do in game? (on a side note, the Revert button on the bottom of the FFB page doesn't work)

"Force coefficient" determines how much of a FFB you will feel. The bigger it is, the more FFB.
"Force Limit" is the max force (in Newton) that it'll send to the wheel. So it acts as a FFB cut-off. This essentially guards against very big FFB forces going to your wheel.
"Force Smoothing" determines how much "filtering" will happen to the FFB signal under smooth steering wheel movements. The bigger it is the more gradual the FFB will change.
"High Frequency Force Smoothing" determines the "filtering" that will happen to the FFB signal under sudden steering wheel movements. The bigger it is the more gradual the FFB will change (under jerky wheel movement conditions).

Ah. Alright, thanks. so, force limit is the maximum force and coefficient changes the amount of actual vibrations and such?

The latest update includes tooltips on the ffb settings menu: just hover your mouse over each slider and it will display a description of what it does.

Hmm. I'm not sure that's working for me, also reminds me that for some reason the info text that pops up in the upper left stating shifter mode and damaged modules isn't there either. Was that an app thing that I got rid of accidentally?

If you are not getting the tooltips (see image below), restart Steam to force it to check for new BeamNG updates:
