tell me about how good it is. I want to hear absolutely anything, since I'd almost "up"graded from an old trusty Cherry RS6000M to a Logitech G110, which isn't even Mechanical.
I came from a logitech g105 i had been using for 3 years. The difference in typing feel and accuracy is amazing. It feels more premium, the sound is amazing, the quality is great, etc. Once I got used to the new keyboard, i don't think i could ever go back to non-mechanical.
Yeah, I'm using a pretty basic mechanical keyboard right now. So, is there any real benefit in having more keys?
Not really. The whole numpad is basically macro keys in games. Most gaming mice also have extra buttons that are much easier to reach than macro keys on a keyboard.
I have an unusually large number of those buttons. It's an MMO mouse, with 12 buttons for my thumb. I don't just use it for games, though. I use them for volume/pause/play as well. I like being able to simply just put my hand on my mouse and immediately know what to press to do that. I wouldn't recommend it if you won't use the extra buttons, though.
The G buttons are more useful for my work rather than gaming, honestly. And the media buttons are super helpful but you're not missing much by not having the keys. Like @BlueScreen mentioned, the numpad is basically a free set of 9 macro keys. If you get a 'MMO' mouse with a lot of buttons on the side, most of them will even map tho MMO buttons to the numpad for you.
used to have the 5, I'd like another in all honesty, mine broke. Also got a quickfire tk but in brown
Alright, just gonna stick with my trusty Cherry. Don't even know what switches it has, but it sounds damn good. Especially the spacebar. Wonderful.
If it's clicky they're either blues or greens. Greens are heavier but otherwise the same as blues. If you want to check just remove a keycap.
It's quite heavy actually, but it should probably be blues. Also, how do I remove those? Wouldv'e done it, but I don't know how to...
What is a black, "round", not directly indentifiable switch? I don't have a camera right now. I do think it's of medium quality though. Still sounds and feels nice...
Damn. Now I'm really beginning to hate a perfectly fine keyboard for no reason. Calm down. One moment... Calmed down.
I bought some parts for my new gaming PC. I already have an Asus Strix GTX 970, Samsung EVO 850 250Gb and Fractal Design Core 1300 case and I think I wont have FPS problems any more Sadly I couldn't afford Z170 mobo so I can't overclock my CPU. Nevertheless, stock i5 6600K should be enough for CPU demanding games (BeamNG, GTA V, Witcher 3...) and it cost 4€ more than 6600 non K.
While offering absolutely nothing over its non K counterpart. K literally just means overclockable and is pointless without Z170. You might be better off with a budget H series mobo and getting a Z in future
Purchased a $4 PCI SCSI controller and $5 bag of IDE/SCSI cables from Value Village to install a 2GB SCSI hard drive in my Win2k server.
Bought a nice EVGA GTX 960 SSC 4GB card for my pc the other day, to avenge the 650ti I was rocking for at least 2 years. What an improvement!
