Could you name a price (or price range) for both of them?

You could look into the 4th gen i5 CPUs. They run around 3.6 GHz.

Remember though, GHz is not how well the chip performs, it's how fast the internal clock is. True performance is the frequency of the chip (in GHz) multiplied by how much the chip does per cycle (called IPC), the end result is in FLOPS (modern CPUs are in TFLOPS, and GPUs are in GFLOPS)

So is this a good processor? I'm in the US, so $250 is about 176 pounds.

Yes, great CPU. Make sure to get a Z170 board.
You'll also need new DDR4 RAM (your CPU uses DDR3).

I'm Pretty sure I have DDR4. I remember because I took a few bits (like the disk drive and HDD) from an older computer, and I thought I had to scrap the ram from it because it was DDR3 and we had to use DDR4, but it was actually DDR4. And thats why I have 16 GB of ram instead of my normal 8.

Also, whats a good midrange Z170 board priced at? Like, a ballpark?

AMD = low FPS. I have a Intel Core i5 6600k Skylake running @ 4.1 GHZ and a Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 Ti AND smooth 60 fps in BeamNG.

Nope. DDR4 was released in 2015 and the only CPUs that support it are Intel Haswell-E and Skylake. Your CPU supports only DDR3 memory. Source

You can get a Z170 board for as low as $80. Doesn't support SLI or other fancy stuff, but it does the job and build quality is good.

If you can't afford CPU+MB+RAM, get a Haswell 4690K instead. It's slightly cheaper, you can get a decent Z97 board for around $95, and you don't need new RAM since it requires DDR3.

Nobody cares about your expensive rig. If you're not providing any useful advice whatsoever please refrain from posting, it only clutters the thread.

Oh yes. Now i remember, we thought it had DDR2 or something and it was DDR3. Okay. Now i have to find some new ram too.

Oh and if anyone can put a good bang-for-buck mid-range Z170 Mobo i'd appreciate that.

I'm currently using this website to help me find compatible parts and I was having trouble finding my specific card. I've looked everywhere my card is listed on my computer and it only goes under "amd radeon r9 200 series". Is there anyway to use the statistics listed in the picture below to find the specific name of my GPU? Thanks.

Get speccy or HWMonitor. They should tell you what your GPU is.
If that doesn't work, look for the box your card came in. If you threw it away... Run a GPU benchmark and post your score.

If you're just checking compatibility, it doesn't really matter - any PCI-E GPU works on any modern motherboard. All Radeon 200 series cards will work with a new board.

Edit: Btw, it's one of these:
    R9 270, R9 270X, R9 280, R9 280X, R9 290, R9 290X
Judging by your CPU, it's most likely a 270 or 270X, probably not a 290/X.

Also, you won't get 60fps in beamNG no matter what you upgrade to. The CPU upgrade is the right choice, but beamng will not get you 60 fps maxed no matter what GPU you have.

Also also, with the new CPU you'll relieve the bottleneck with other games too, so expect performance boosts in all games.

GTX 970 gets 60-80 FPS on most maps including JRI. Game is maxed out except for dynamic reflections which are set to mid-high.
Only maps that actually cause trouble are Industrial and Port because of the massive amount of static meshes which T3D doesn't seem to handle very well.

Maybe it's an AMD thing? My 280x can't manage 60fps on gridmap on mediums.

My 270 could get 60 fps on gridmap on high settings :/
That was before dynamic reflections though. But a 280x should be more than good enough for 60 fps on mid settings, especially on a map like gridmap. Have you checked temps? Reinstalled drivers?

Both. It's been a worsening issue since the update that added dynamic reflections. I used to manage 60fps easy, over 90 on gridmap, but not now.

My temps are high, but not throttling. I should clean my GPU before it starts throttling though.
