-Buys Roller Coaster Tycoon World on Steam -Steam won't install it (Install button is not there). -Turns out I have to wait a few months for it to be released. -Sends a refund request. Why is RCTW considered Early Access then??? Once I get my refund, I'm going to buy Spin Tires.
Buy Roller Coaster Tycoon 3. Same developer, although much better, because it was before they lost their way. (Also get the 2 DLC)
I have a RCT3 Platinum disc somewhere that works. Anyway, I got my refund and now I have to wait 24 hours to get my $50 back it says.
so far every review I've seen for rollercoaster tycoon world had described it as a steaming pile of shit anyway. Do not buy that game even when it does launch
Doing a clean windows reinstall from my 8.1 recovery disk, since my win10 install broke... completely.
Found out my mom got a free computer from work. I can finally unload my PC from McAfee and all those lame ass puzzle games.
I installed Windows XP Media Center Edition onto my HP Pavilion a520n (Frag-Box). It runs so much better, Windows 7 was killing it: 98% RAM usage and 75% CPU usage at idle. Now it's 0% CPU and .98% RAM at idle. I can actually use the thing now.
Its not the same developer. The new roller coaster tycoon game is being made by a new developer. Planet Coaster is being made by frontier who made the 3rd game. In short: RCT world looks like it will be a pile of crap Planet coaster looks like it will be really cool Parkitect also looks like it will be really cool.
Who are the publisher and dont have any hand in the development of the game except forcing microtransactions into it.
I've realized that I do need to play some Hendrix if I want to see how John Frusciante got some of his style. (on guitar) I thought I would be able to go without it, but I am sure I won't regret this haha.
Global game jam is over, I am tired and physically worse off than when I went in. But I made a game, in 48 hours. In short it is about addiction (the jam topic was rituals [so i went for daily rituals]), It takes place over 5 consecutive real days, if you miss a day the game will reset. It involves 2p coin pushers, branching narrative and a soundtrack that will make life considerably less worth living. Its a game jam game (as well as being my second 'proper' game) so it is quite experimental, hence the forced play for 5 days and other choices I wouldn't make if I was hoping for the game to provide me with food. If you play the game over 5 real days you are super awesome and will get the full experience. But I realize that for many people this would not be considered 'playable', So I left in the ability to switch days with the numbers 1-5 on your keyboard. Changing your system date will also work too. The game was made for Android, but I also put up a windows build, Alt+f4 or equivalent will be required to close it on PC. Since the project files are available and due to the magic of Unity and my programming being not abominable it *should* work for pretty much any platform you wish providing you can compile it in Unity, I didn't because 48 hours plus testing multiple OS's would have been a pain. But It may break on other platforms, I haven't tested. feel free to give it a go: http://globalgamejam.org/2016/games/slotalot The source files are also there if you fancy a peak, The code is fairly messy (and uncommented) due to game jam reasons, but if source code interests you then that may be to your liking. Im going to bed now, ready for a 9am lecture on Algorithms and Complexity in 8 1/2 hours. My bets are on me being half asleep for that one. Also, cheers to Rockstar games for showing up with some free swag. The bullet one is especially cool.
I think I'm doing this right... I hardly know how the game works or what to do, yet it was addicting... Good job!
