Hi! I recently got the early access version of the game. That being said, I have played the demo before and I am really enjoying the game.
Before I get started, keep in mind all of these are simply suggestions, and ideas that run through my head as I play the game. I've been playing for many years, various genres, as well participating in off-road driving irl, so all this is coming from a gaming/rl point of view. Take it with a grain of salt ;) I still love the game.

    In no particular order:

    Gearbox/Transmission

The arcade/auto/manual is very confusing. In most games, it's simply AT for full automatic, MT, for full manual transmission; not sure whether the demo carried over the clutch button, but this is a great aspect to any game. Also shifting is not smooth and very far away from how a transmission works in real life. (stalling, bogging the engine down)

    Weather
I have always enjoyed a good rain, or snow/sleet etc, while playing a driving game. With decreased traction for each element respectively, it can add many fun scenarios and further increase difficulty for those who seek it. (or fun sliding around/into stuff)
This could open up for various tire selections (traction) etc.

    Traffic
One of the reasons I got the game was because I saw the pics that show a semi that's destroying a car and such. It would completely change the game to feature AI that simply drives around, perhaps as an option in free roam?

    Menu
When selecting a vehicle, I believe the picture does something different from the tab below (a car for example). I don't enjoy waiting for a random car to spawn, while I really want a specific version of the vehicle, with x color or whatever else I would like to drive around in.
Perhaps visualizing what I'm going to click? ie "Drive this car now" and "select vehicle options"

    Vehicles
I understand the game is still very developmental, but more vehicle choices would be nice. That being said, the options under various vehicles are very poor. Most vehicles only have one "bumper" or "hood" and not many engine choices. It seems almost pointless to allow a player to remove "hood" but not replace it with a different option. Gearbox changes, as well as vehicle modifications that alter speed, ride height, and performance would go very far for anyone who loves driving games!

    Scenarios
I particularly enjoy the chases, and feel like there should be more options to every scenario. The training is good, but very VERY vague on what to do/how, unless you're an experienced driving game player. Perhaps on screen "brake now" and more explanation to what causes what etc.
Completion of scenarios should have check marks or something. People enjoy the "completion" aspect of any game. Such as trophies, or simply 12/50 scenarios completed. Training for more scenarios would be helpful as well. ie. teaching the PIT maneuver to assist with the police scenarios, or showing players how to tackle jumps etc.

    Game play
What I always enjoyed from games, were those that simulate real life up to an enjoyable aspect, a couple examples would be: check engine light, coolant level (can leak etc) handbrake that does NOT have to be toggle on/off. I enjoy timing hand braking, not pushing a button on and on again to release.

    AI
Part of the reason why I got this game, is because I saw the semi that t-bones some sedan. With soft-body physics, this is GREAT. Except there is no AI on the road unless I select a specific mission. I would be thrilled to go into free roam, take some car and see what kind of carnage I can cause in a head-on collision. You know, the stuff everyone loves :)

    Thanks for reading!

I agree with vehicles, most of all. AI vehicles driving around would also put a lot of stress on most modern computers, so that might not happen. And you can create weather in the terrain editor.

Transmission: The transmission options is currently fine. It's Arcade Auto (auto shifting, hold brake for reverse), Realistic Auto for automatic transmissions (use shift buttons to go through P/N/D/R/2/1 like a real auto), Manual automatic clutch (holding the brake will push in the clutch and the car will idle) and Manual (holding the brake will "stall" the car, although the engine will continue to fight the brakes and not stall). The actual transmission simulation (gear shifting, etc) is fair, but that's a work in progress.

    Weather: yes please

    Traffic: maybe?

Menu: I don't know what you're talking about. You click on the image of the car you want, it opens the model choice (base models, sport models, custom models, all in your choice of Auto or Manual) you click the model you want, click the colour you want on the right side, and hit Replace Vehicle (or Spawn New if you want another car on the map). It works fine for me.

Vehicles: The part picker does a lot more than you think, I think you need to try clicking the little down arrow next to a part group to expand it to be able to modify the car more. Every car has 3-4 suspension setups (coilovers, rollbars, etc), some have two totally different suspension geometry setups (leaf spring, 4 link, etc), 5 or more rim choices w/ different tires, generally more than one engine, 2-3 engine tuning levels, 2-4 transmission choices, 2-5 differential choices (plus some allow choosing which differentials to use; ie FWD, AWD or RWD), several paint design options, generally some kind of body modifications (body kits, painted/unpainted parts, spoilers, etc) and a bunch of other additional parts. I don't know where you're getting the idea that you can't modify the performance or ride height, because you absolutely can.

Scenarios: I don't know, I think it's better to be open-ended. I don't want to be schooled when I play a video game, I want to use my skills and win the way I want to. I'm pretty cynical about people, but I don't think people are thick enough to get confused about when to brake - either way, learn from experience, not just following orders. Oh, and scenario achievement tracking would be nice.

Gameplay: Bind your parking brake button to Parking Brake, not Parking Brake (Toggle). I have it setup that way, so now I have to hold the button to engage the parking brake, it's really useful for drifting.

Just found the toggle park brake by accident, guess I wasn't looking hard enough. And all I'm seeing under CTRL+W is the same thing I have been seeing. The only options I have is other engines, the rest of the options are either "selected part" or "empty" under that arrow... There are only a handful of options under the + sign on the left.
I'm looking for stuff like weather and ai for more fun in free roam, not by editing stuff..

    also nice car, gigawert :p

You need to click that plus button, it will expand the part menu for that part and allow you to change a lot more.

I have. Cmon man, it's common sense lol. I'm talking about very little selection to begin with. Only a handful of engine/wheel/suspension mods, the the rest such as bumpers, doors, etc is all only one option. why put drop down boxes if there is no option other than 'none?'

The "Empty" options are automatically added to slots.

I think that by default, P toggles the handbrake and Spacebar holds the handbrake for as long as you hold the key.

The transmission setup is great I love the options mainly use real automatic,

weather could change like rain and wipers being added to a car and slightly less traction.

Vehicles imo are fine because more are in development and we have mod makers,

Traffic I dont know about because with a good working ai you could do this with a couple cars too many just will kill someone's pc and frame rate

Parts in my opinion more could be added but for now its got a good selection. Main focus I like to see is getting all cars in game first.

Gameplay I think is good at the moment check engine light comes on when the engine is dead, parking brake you should have to toggle a button due to you have to pull/press in real cars, and fluids would be awesome to see

Scenarios I have no comment as I dont play them much,

And ai should be improved upon like it was in the beginning.

There's the option for both a toggle parking brake and a hold parking brake, bind your parking brake button to the respective command.

What could I possibly change my doors to? BeamNG has more customization options than NFS 2015, Midnight Club LA, etc. I think you're downplaying the amount of options there are for each car. Let's take the Sunburst; you have

2 body kits (bumpers, sideskirts, etc)
    2 hoods
3 suspension setups (stock, sport, race: coilovers, rollbars)
3 steering setups (stock, race, rally)
    3 brake kits
2 suspension geometry setups (stock, rally)
    3 front diffs
    4 rear diffs
    3 stock wheels,
    2 sport wheels,
    2 race wheels,
    4 steering wheels
    2 engines (1.8, 2.0)
    2 exhaust setups
    2 turbo options (s1, s2)
    2 spoilers (sport, race)
    2 roof options (sunroof, w/o)
    around 6 transmission options
    2 center console options
    several skins
    rally lights
    police equipment
    traction control
    rollcage

and plus the Sunburst is definitely not the most customizable vehicle in the game. I don't think we need more... that's enough for me at least.

Plus the existence of those slots lets mode get to work

Maybe i was just trying to change the car setup with the wrong vehicles, I'll give the others a shot. What about the other ideas? AI driven cars shouldn't be impossible to do, if there are scenarios of cars being chased etc, why not the occasional vehicle on the road? I'm sure there can be a selection of how heavy the traffic you want depending on your rig setup...
