Okay. Will buy this within one month or so except one here knows something better for a lower/the same price:

    Mainboard: ASUS Z97M-K
    CPU: Intel i5 4690
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Freezer 11 LP
GPU: MSI GTX 960 Gaming 4G
    RAM: 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance LPX (2666Mhz DDR4)
    PSU: Corsair Builder Series CX430
    (Keyboard: Logitech Gaming G110
Mouse: Logitech M500 (I think at least, my hands might still grow, so...))

Will overclock if necessary, the Mainboard is pretty good at that.

Why don't you take the 4690k ? It's better for overclocking.

Especially when he's buying an aftermarket CPU cooler :p

It costs a bunch more, but yeah, why not. Also, passmark.com says even stock it has a little more boost.
@Zorin-Ind. I chose that one because it has water cooling. I really have no idea how hot a CPU gets when you overclock it, that's the point, and even if it's overkill, a CPU ironically brings slightly more power when cooler. AND of course I might be able to clock even faster. Will just gradually increase the speed and watch Speccy while playing BeamNG.

Water cooling is overkill if you're not going to overclock IMHO. I could recommend a somewhat cheaper aftermarket cooler, but not a complete water cooling system.
My stock Intel fan is cooling the i7 3770 just fine, even with the R9 280X just below it and one big case fan. Temps aren't exceeding 68c. Dell did a good job designing the case.

Also, a CPU will only perform less if it is thermally throttling. Which happens around 90c I suppose.

-Bollocks, I accidentally posted two times. Oops.

Erm... Well at least I thought it's something like that. It's called warmthpipe-technology and that thing is 22,90€, so I don't know exactly. Probably google it, I don't have a clue what t is, but it has a good reputation.

Oh, if enyone is interested in this information (slightly off my real topic, I know :p): I read that if you buy a gaming laptop with a current Haswell processor, you should at least have a GTX-960M in it if you want the GPU to be any better in 3D performance than the onboard graphics card (which is using the CPU RAM, so do it. Laptops with that kind of graphics card start around $900.

The ARCTIC Freezer 11 LP is not a water cooling solution, I just checked :p
It is perfect for your needs.

Yup. Perfect. But what is it then? Is that just two pipes that give extra cooling area?

Nice i7, by the way. What mainboard do you use?

Those are copper heatpipes I think, which conduct the heat to the layered metal sheets. The sheets are then cooled by the fan.

    Thanks :D Good question, I guess it's a Dell monster motherboard 3000..
I honestly have no idea. I just added a new PSU and GPU in the prebuilt machine. I bought it because I loved the case and it had 'upgrade potential'.

Well that makes sense. You don't have to be a genius to know that copper has great thermodynamic characteristics. But I forgot. Well, however. I chose this fan because it has those heatpipes and a proper rev adjustment.
Well, the Z97-K (That up there was a typo..... :-/ ) however supports every LGA1150-socket CPU, up to 32GB of RAM and is a proper gaming- and overclocking-board. It can support up to 3200Ghz BUS clocking and as far as I know I can also put a second GPU in SLI in. Very nice thing.
Another thing is, I've also decided to buy a new tower to put that stuff in. My old one looks quite miserable. I've decided to take a badass looking Sharkoon VG4-S, which looks good, is reasonable priced and you can fit a bunch of stuuf in there. It can support a bunch of 120mm fans (I'll only take three, not four. Why would I need an extra fan over the GPU?), which is nice because you can then keep it cool and quiet at the same time.

You have a nice PC, too, though. It really is a good one if you think about it being two and a half years old.

Oh, and what monitor do you use? Mine says Iiyama ProLite E2273HDS on it. It was the 1920x1080-monitor with the best quality that was under 140€.

I use a Dell P2414H 1920x1080 IPS monitor. Almost all my stuff is from Dell, except for my tablet, which is a Panasonic FZ-G1 :p
That Sharkoon VG4-S looks absolutely badass indeed, and the motherboard is a great one :D
Three fans should indeed be enough.

And thank you. The i7 3770 can hold up quite well. It was one of the reasons I bought it. Before that, I had a Dell XPS 430 with a Core2 Quad Q9550, one of the last quadcore-desktop CPU's before the i3/i5/i7 range came out... Ancient stuff but it performed okay-ish even in more recent games. :p

Been that way since Kepler. Maxwell is amazingly efficient and runs really cool, it's the AMD cards that have the 300W TDP. Still, the whole '290X runs hot' circlejerk is mostly to blame on AMD's terrible stock cooler.

AMD is da bezt OMG!!!1!!1! Seriously though, one thing I've noticed about my R9 280X is that it runs about 5 degrees cooler in BeamNG compared to the 80°c+ my 760 used to, my 760 was bran new and I re pasted my R9 and that's the EVGA ACX cooler verses what ever Sapphire calls the cooler on this R9 280X, which to be honest Isn't that much of a difference IMO.

I was also pleasantly surprised by the limited heat from my Sapphire R9 280X Dual-X. I use it in a case with one big casefan, and it never gets past 68c. Nice.

Yeah i just remember when all were joking about Nvidia burning houses etc :D r9 295x2 that i have has been designed to top temps at 75degrees, it's not that hot but when almost all heat comes from 120mm radiator it feels like the sun in rear of my pc :D

I have to say, AMDs may suck a lot of power, but yeah, their graphics cards are really cool stuff, in the best sense of the word.
