    I'm an idiot, misread you. Same still applies to the FX 'piledriver' cores. IIRC they're sort of half cores if memory serves, sharing cache and such. Bluntly AMD really doesnt do single threaded performance well at all and your options basically consist of upgrading again and overclocking.

    And test your FPS with the game paused (J on keyboard) VS unpaused. If FPS goes up when paused its a CPU issue, which i expect it to be.

    Eliminate everything you can to narrow down to the culprit I definitely think its the processor...
