You realise 8 hours is considered the normal amount of sleep to have??? The average person should be able to function on as little as 5-6, thanks to some dark times in my past I've become accustomed to functioning on as few as 2 unimpeded.

I noticed that there are some textures with utah in their names... Were they there before?
Just look through the level folders...

 

I was motivated to finally get the a8 and msi someshit board that I bought from cwazy almost a year ago working because of this game.
64bit windows 7 with 8 gigs of ram, all maps work now.
I love East Coast.

 

Not sure why everyone is having all these issues. I still have everyone one of my mods, and still no matter how much I am doing anything, I only ran into a few crashes, which were resolved in a very simple restart of BNG. I have yet to experience any issues.

I stopped playing Beam for over a year, and forgot about this forum, not on purpose or in a bad way, life just got in the way.

I picked Beam back up again, and started having a lot of fun. The fact that my 360 controller is fully supported and functional was a huge factor.

I'd come home every night after work and just drive around on gridmap until I got tired, very therapeutic and relaxing in a lot of ways. (depression, insomnia)


Then the latest update came out, and broke my heart. Gridmap is worthless to me now. Horrible FPS, the textures changed and look much worse (for/to me), lots of things moved around, lots of things added. The additional ramps are okay, but I'm not a fan.

In my honest opinion, my favorite part of Beam was the unchanged, non-bloated Gridmap that you can just load up and drive around. Now I don't get that same enjoyment. Disappointing.

Let me say however I understand the effort and time that is going into these updates, and the game in general and I appreciate it. I no longer do any modding or editing of vehicles, so I enjoy just firing up the game and playing. Thank you to the devs for that.

Gridmap was/is the only map I really enjoy, now it's not. I haven't played it since I saw/experienced the changes. Not out of spite or anger, just very sad. It's not fun for me anymore.

Figured I'd log back in after a year just to complain. Lol.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the new gridmap either. It's just bloated and fat.

 

Hey Gabester, I 've tried the new plow addon , but something strange happens, in real time the plow is awesome, but try the same thing in slow motion and the plow grabs the cars and they get stuck in it, I thought the simulation got more accurate when we used slow motion, at least it did before. I was trying to make a cool video of the awesome plow addon, but i cant show this, it was horrifying to watch but if you need more info, just ask, love all your hard work and your awesome cars
