It would be nice to have in-game something to just save how the car right now is damaged, so you could see over time when you drive the car; damage done on the suspension or the wheels ect .. after hours of driving.

If the current state of the car is kept in RAM at all time it should be easily doable on the harddrive.

I actually though of something like that, im not skilled enough to do so but heres what i though of doing for saving the damage done.
If anyone messed around with a virtual os or some game emulators, your gonna know what i mean exactly.
Saving the damage of the car, saving the state of the damage, just like you would save a state of a game, or your virtual pc.

Deformed jbeam or deformed visual mesh? Visual mesh would probably be a lot harder to implement, but I think that is what you are talking about here.

A deformed flexbody is the direct result of a deformed jbeam. Please don't spread misinformation. :|

Persistent damage was confirmed by the devs to be a key part of the BeamNG Campaign, so it'll make its way into the game at one point or another. Patience is a virtue, kids.

But if jbeam and visible mesh are different, the visible deformed damage will be different from the deformed jbeam, right?

The visual mesh is like a skin and, due to it being higher density, will not match the jbeam 100%. However, the visual mesh will always deform the same way.
