i thouroughly understand the devs, they put so much work into realism, dont complain if it doesnt drive like gta with your keyboard. Get a steering wheel, hell i can tell the differences with a controller and making precise turns. Dev's really made something awesome here. And btw the sbr4 is not a bugatti veyron. It wasnt meant to be a super car, Its just a mid range sports car. Similar to a carrera s and below. It houses a flat 4 2.0l boxer motor. Maybe if they made a SBR6-GT model then it would be the high end performance car. The SBR4 was never meant to be some extreme high performance super sports car. I think its perfect.

JDMClark, you make a good point with the bottom part. But the understeer is unacceptable.

With the first part of your post you are wrong. You can't just "Get a wheel" its not like i'm gonna pull one out of my butt. Not everybody has enough money for controllers and or steering wheels. Even pedals. Sometimes you have to get the pedals seperately. And a good steering wheel will cost 500-1000$. I don't have that type of money.

The most expensive wheel (I believe it's Thrustmaster T500RS without the shifter) is around 500$ and I got my slightly used Logitech G27 for 180€. And XBox 360 controllers are around 50-60$ new afaik. But I'm not trying to argue or prove a point, I understand that not everyone has money for those.

I think that the SRB4 drives great with a steering wheel and it's quite good with an XBox controller as well. But I think it does understeer bit too much but I think it's gonna get fixed in the next update with improved anti-roll bars and ESC.

    Controllers aren't $500 though...

Anyway I don't really know what you mean by unacceptable. I can cruise around at 80mph and it feels like 30mph its so sticky and easy to control. Even a good bit past 120mph it has few issues with understeer and even when it does kick in it makes sense considering the speeds. Its true that its a problem at times but its definitely not "unacceptable"

The understeer is driver error, and nothing else.

$500-$1000 would net you a lot more than just a wheel and pedals. A used Logitech G25 can be as cheap as $125AUD, which is what, a days' work? Controllers are half that brand new.

If you can't experience the car properly, what's the use in complaining?

There was indeed an issue with the ESC configuration and the sway bars which has been fixed, but without a proper input device you won't be able to enjoy any of the cars to the fullest.
You absolutely need something non digital to make the simulation work as intended,
using the keyboard will only get you so far.

As proposed, an XBox controller is a cheap alternative to a racing wheel (and less cumbersome to set up in terms of required space),so you might want to think about that.

Forgot to mention, high speed understeer wasn't part of the ESC issue I fixed, as there's nothing wrong in that particular department with a proper input device.

I've come up with an idea. I don't think it has been done in real life, or if it is even realistic, but here goes. Automatically adjusting front end downforce thingies (can't even remember the name of them) that move to provide more downforce when you turn the steering wheel, and move back out of the way when the wheels are straight to reduce drag. They could probably just be moved with hydros controlled by the steering. My questions are if it is realistic? And is it something that could be added to the S2 model of the SBR4 (sportiest version). In theory, this would help with high speed understeer (something that is realistic, just not much fun).

The realism of this game is very impressive , you have even invent the recall for the first SBR4 on the market for a software upgrade ;)

Good job dev and modder community , this game is a dream for car enthusiasts .

Gotta say the SBR4 is one of the best driving cars in BeamNG i've ever driven. Brutally quick in acceleration & corners. Understeer is understandable because AWD, would help if there would be an 33/66 option like i have it in one of my RC cars, that car oversteers even with AWD.

My only negative point is that driving in BeamNG generally feels way too mushy when i compare it to Dirt Rally.
