I think you just spawn it in next to the main vehicle, open map editor and move it to where you want and save the map. Next time you load it, it should be there. If you upload the map and the person downloading it doesn't have the guardrail mod then it wont show up, and might give them an error. I could be wrong, but I think that's how it works. Hope that helps
Could it be possible to extract the sign.dae and it's textures from the props folder and make them standard static like objects?
I expect so. If you have the .dae I don't see why not. It wont deform like the op is likely wanting though.
Ok thank you,let me see what I can do, for 1 I probably will have to ask permission to use the rails and 2 I would have to see if the process will be worth it, if I was to get the permission to, and was able to groolingly manually put up the rails for hours lol is peaple going to actually install the rails in order to use the map, however I would love it if I had them in there and if you mess up on a time attack or drift you crush rite into it with it, would add a sense of realism. - - - Updated - - - I am going to play around with this anyways see were I get.and see if it is worth it.
I haven't messed around with Dummies guardrail on a map wide scale but it sure would be cool if it could be treated as a static jbeamed prop and not a "vehicle"? Regardless though, a whole lot of jbeamed guardrail will take a bit of extra CPU load. Would also be cool to be able to mount static objects to a mesh so mesh guardrail could be made in a couple hours versus days. Will be interesting to see what you find.
