Well a gas update, that price was 2 months ago, don't really pay attention to the prices. Fuel efficient car and all. It's between 2.19 and 2.39 here, depending on the side of town.

It probably has more to do with how you can't legally or physically drive it.

Or maybe because it isn't driveable yet.

Both right, although the car only needs a bit more work until it's driveable. Got the majority of the work done to make it run, just to rebolt the parts back in the interior and whatnot.

It's only needed a bit of work for how long now? At least a few months?

You still don't have the interior back together? Damn, what's stopping you? You should be able to put the seats back in by yourself. Shouldn't be too heavy and it's just 4 bolts.
I do have to say you did a surprisingly good job cleaning it up, though.

Yeah, but you do fail to understand my weakness. Those fucking seats, in my econobox, are really fucking heavy. The 40% rear portion of the rear seatback is pretty heavy to me, although it's like about 10 pounds or so. The rear seat cushion felt lighter, I swear.

    They're puny.
When I was out driving around today I found myself on a big peninsula that protrudes into Fort Loudon lake. It's a ridge, and there's a little road that runs along the top of it. It was all a ~500 acre farm owned by one family until a couple years back when someone died and it was all given to someone's kids or something, who fought about what to do with it. About 1/2 of it was sold to a developer who is clearing trees and grating roads for a neighborhood. The scenic little one lane road with a canopy of trees over it has been closed, and a big two lane road has been grated parallel to it. All of the new roads aren't paved yet and are either gravel or dirt, which I had a hell of a time thrashing the crown vic around on, but it's a shame to see such a beautiful place being turned into a suburban neighborhood.

Well, General Motors has just listed Holden's Melbourne factory up for sale. I knew this was coming but its still tragic to actually see.

yep I guess there isn't a market for big 4 door sedans since families buy crossovers now. I guess the only people who buy commodores are those usual "Holden nuts"
(or I should say enthusiasts as hadacoolname would hate me) who buy the V8 Holden mainly for the power and the V8 sound that and the police.

holden you would be sadly missed.

since we are on the topic of commodores who in the world would buy a 4 cylinder Holden Commodore?

Well the Commodore is currently Australia's 8th best selling car & for a couple months after the new VF was released it was #1 best selling.

    - - - Updated - - -

I'd buy it. Put an LS1 in it & have a blast

well that isn't the case in NZ most of the old market (families) have gone to crossovers because they are smaller and have more space.

but don't forget most of those sales would of sold as fleet cars or rental cars but they wouldn't be shutting down a factory if they are selling lots of cars.

but I guess I might be wrong so don't bash me.

I heard from a friend of my dads that had one as a rental at one point and said how bad the switches are.

I guess you probably don't like me at the moment I am not trying to say the Commodore is crap I'm trying to say the big aussie tanks aren't as good as they used to be.

as I said before this is mainly my personal opinion so I could be right or wrong.

I might be thinking about the closure of the ford falcon.

I don't seem to see many modern commodores or falcons around here in NZ (excluding cop cars) but there seems to be a lot of crossovers like Ford Territory's it seems families don't want big 4 door sedans or wagons anymore.

10lbs, thats just 5 kilos. Can you lift your PC up? That will be closer to 20 kilos.

Health and safety office over here in the UK considers that all non disabled people should be able to pick up a 15 kilogram item from the floor and place it on a chest height shelf.
I had no muscle at all, and still unload containers of 15kg boxes.....

1 question, if you lift an item from the floor, do you bend over or do you squat

Squat. Bending over eventually wears out your back, but I suck, so I usually bend.

Its not just spinal damage that can be a concern, but your back muscle genuinely is not as strong. You want to lift a heavy item from the floor, back straight, squat down like you're taking a nice shit, lift with your legs, they're stronger.
