I got to drive my uncles 1991 Pontiac Trans-Am, it's near mint. Very low mileage, about 5500 miles. 5.0 V8 with 230 hp. And it's a manual transmission!
I just got myself a stubby antenna for the E46, it looks a whole lot better than the other one. I also got new plates, I'll be able to order the front license plate bracket on Monday. You can get fined $200 for not having a front plate in Texas, and I'm glad it's never given me trouble. I may just end up securing the front plate with zip ties on the front bumper mesh.
I bolted on a different exhaust today, hated the sound and it was waaaay too loud, so here's just a straight pipe instead while I'm in the process of going back to stock..
Someone around here in Alaska has a Ford Transit hackjobbed into a custom pickup truck. Other than its obvious non-US origin it looks like a typical Alaska backwoods truck, with lots of obvious damage and wear. I'll have to get a picture of it sometime. Also, I once saw a Toyota Vitz, with Japanese license plate still attached. That one was probably easier since from a US perspective it's just a Toyota Echo hatchback, with the RS 1.5 version even having the same engine. That was many years ago and I haven't seen it since.
Some of the ugliest wheels out there in my opinion. At least those aren't the Ronal Teddy rims. -shudder-
It amazes me how many of these red & white Transits you see around (imported from here) Because back the day Australia Post used them, now they use Mercedes Benz Sprinters
U.S. postal service uses these funny looking things. I'd like to buy one being surplussed, but I've never seen them at any sort of government auction. It may have something to do with not being able to buy new trucks so they just run those into the ground.
I'd also like to get one, it's just so quirky. Right hand drive, a little breadbox on wheels. Just repaint it.
Why would you spend that much money on a mail truck? I'm sure the post office strips their decals off when they sell them, so it's just plain white. Fine by me. I bet you'd also want to lower it and put aftermarket wheels on it.
I'd actually shove an inappropriately large engine in it and tub it with some Mickey Thompson drag slicks.
I bloody love those things! If I was rich, I would import one then restore it as a U.S. Postal van. I don't know why but I would love to do to that.
You're a disgrace. Redrobins idea is good, but yours is ricey. A lowered mail truck with the stock rattly i4 with aftermarket wheels on it would look rediculous. Im in a bad mood. I lost my wallet. I'd leave it completely stock and trash it till it dies.
Rice is doing this These and that mail truck with the stock rattly I4 would be kinda fun to throw around. isn't that why I have replacement wheels for the Escort anyway? Same kinda thing.
Be as agro as you want, I know that feeling. I once had my wallet go missing with about $400 in it (I presume it was stolen), Im just lucky my license wasn't in it at the time.
