I have a idea where, if you hit your front end, you r engine will stop, and then you have to press a key like 'I' (for ignition) to try and start the engine back up again, but sometimes it starts, others it wont, depending on damage. Like a car like this: Or this: Wont start, but a car like this: Will.
They had a feature like this but was pulled out for more development time I believe. Still early access on Steam, which means they are in like an alpha stage atm. BeamNG will be much more in the years to come. I just can't wait any longer!
What is the difference between "turning on the engine" and starting it? Also I'm pretty sure this kind of stuff is planned but this game is going to take a lot of time to be completed.
Putting the key to on does not "turn on the engine" though. It just turns the electronics on. The starter is when the engine is actually started. It seems like you understand it but maybe used the wrong terminology
Stalling was a thing in the first techdemo, but it seems to have been taken out like a year ago. (well, atleast it wasnt there when I bought it in January (?))
Idk what you are talking about... stalling was never properly implemented. I bought the game 1hr after it came out but due to technical difficulties I didn't actually play it until about 5 hours after so I played the tech demo first. I've stayed with beam through nearly all updates only having missed the experimental V1.
I destinctly remember driving up one of the big steep ramps in the techdemo and then stalling my car. It literally shut the engine of, or atleast tried to by making it run at 20RPM. Can provide a video of it if you want me to.
That's not stalling. The engine kept running, just very slowly. We haven't ever had stalling in this game. There is some code for it there, but its incomplete and disabled
