Hi, so I was planning to overclock my cpu when I was building my PC, but I had to slightly downgrade my PSU. I went from a EVGA 500W 80+ PSU to a Corsair 450VS PSU. My pc specs can be found in my signature. Could I still possibly overclock it or not? Thanks in advance.

overclocking yes but with the cooler you have max 3.5 or 3.6 GHz otherwise it gets to hot and it makes itself slower

You'll be fine, and the evo 212 is perfectly capable of cooling the g3258.

Ummm....? The cooler is fairly cheap and lower end, but his cpu will be perfectly fine with it... It handles my 8120 just fine at 4.5GHz...

My 4770k ran fine at 4.2GHz with my 212evo staying under 80c during IntelBurnTest and Prime95, and it is most definitely a bad chip needing 1.3v vcore just to get 4.2GHz.

Alright, now I just need a good way to overclock. Any recommendations on how to do it? I heard the Asrock mobos have some built-in way to overclock, does my mobo have something similar?
