    Its more logical than a thumbs up thumbs down icon, the symbols would be inverted if you were looking from the wrong direction.

    It's mathematics, not computation.

    Binary is literally yes/no, on/off. It IS common sense.

    Binary, a base 2 number system in which there are only 2 possible digits. 0 or 1.
    Denary (what we use daily), a base 10 number system in which there are only 10 possible digits, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

    10 in the denary system is not a number, it is instead the overflow of numbers from 9 to a 0, an additional 1 indicated the overflow.
    Binary same applies.

    Uh oh, overflow
    10 < overflow to 0, add a 1 to the left.
    Add another 1
    11
    add another 1,
    uh oh, first position overflows to 0
    10, but you add to the left and that overflows too
    100

    or 0-15 in binary.



    Its mathematics.

    The only reason it is used in computation also is simple. It can be expressed digitally far more easily than denary can.

    And this is why just 3 hours of sleep is bad. I got up at 4:00, its now 23:40.

    But there are 16 possible permutations for 4 bit binary. So my sleep deprived mind is getting something right.

    A friend and I successfully corrupted a very large Skype group chat in 10 minutes.

    We destroyed it in 15.

    It was a good day.

    So despite my reapplication of thermal paste my CPU is hotter than ever. 85 degrees Celsius at points when idling. Ordered a CPU cooler (Cooler Master Nepton 120XL) which should be here by the 6th.

    Hopefully this works.

    Have you looked at your processes in Task Manager? Something is probably pushing your CPU to full load. Subbing peanut butter for thermal compound wouldn't give you anywhere near that temperature if the processor was truly idling.

    Obviously something is wrong, cause unless you're on the stock cooler with an overclock it should never get that hot ever. Make sure you did the right amount (Smaller than a pea in the middle of the IHS) and that it's mounted correctly.

    Stock cooler, mounted correctly.

    Right now I can literally do nothing besides surf the web. I'm not going to last until Tuesday.

    However I think I did overdo the paste, I'll see if I can redo it tomorrow.

    "Just got drivers license". I've had my drivers license for 10 months. I also state that I am not a perfect driver, I do this because I find it to be entertaining and other people do that too.

    So how concerned should I be that this has occured within about 5 hours?
    Just seems to be a simple case of varicose veins I think, but 5 hours from completely non existent to slightly sore and there in plain sight...

    I've had it happen with 10-12 veins at once in about an hour. But they've never been sore.

    Its not so much a soreness, as a really dull throb, its strange. You can feel its there but it doesnt hurt at all.

    GP is shut so I cant just pop up there, and besides, if it is a varicose vein its not a major issue.
