that's why i like dealers that give access to a free carfax luckily in my case i don't need it, as i'm really good friends with the previous owners
I got the SES light read and it returned code P0128 on the OBD-II scanner, which usually indicates a faulty coolant thermostat. It looks like it's going to cost $100 to get the thermostat, new o-rings, and coolant from ECS Tuning. I could also get a Motorsport Thermostat for around $200 from Turner Motorsport that opens up at a much lower temperature alternatively, though I probably won't go that route.
Anyone have reccomendations on an aftermarket stereo? I've got a 2000 honda accord that needs it's tape deck replaced with a CD or AUX or something.
I installed an Alpine CDE series head unit in the Audi. Does aux, USB, cd, and Bluetooth. Wasn't too expensive either. Edit @ hadacoolname: I can see why you have such a massive hardon for Holden. I'm sitting in an Albion Park cafe and basically every third car that goes past is either a Commodore or a Falcon.
I wonder what the hell happened to this Grand Marq Looks like it might have been driven into the back of a semi/lorry.
I saw a late-ish model grand marq being auctioned by copart that had been destroyed far beyond recognition. The only hint as to what happened was the speedo frozen at 110. Wish I saved the pictures of it.
I dont think it would look like that if it was. The bonnet would probably be crumpled and possibly the pillars as well depending on the length of the bonnet and the shape of the semi. That looks way more like the result of a partial overlap crash. For example this sort of thing: http://www.iihs.org/iihs/news/deskt...ments-in-protecting-people-in-frontal-crashes So it could be a number of things, possibly driver getting distracted and veering of the road and hitting something, but one thing i know for sure is that i wouldnt want to have been the paassenger in that car.
Hit up Craigslist and items for sale groups on Facebook. I got my pretty basic head unit for £10 via Facebook.
Thinking about getting a first gen MX5, mate bought one the other day with a LSD diff and it's good fun in the wet, grass field is really fun too. The one I'm looking at has a LSD diff too which is cool cause they're quite expensive by themselves.. The only thing I wish I could change is the power, to like the 160HP range, what would be the most cost effective way to do that? Ebay turbo setup? Dad wants to buy my Carina which is cool cause I'd rather it stay in the family.
I tend to lean towards Kenwood stuff, if you want to put in a single-DIN head unit, go for the BT362U, and if you want to go double-DIN, go for the DDX372BT.
The BT362U looks like a perfect fit, and I also like the Alpine CDE-143BT. At this point it comes down to customer reviews and price, because I have zero experience with this. There are also the Pioneer DEH-X6700BT and MVH-X370BT. I don't think my honda fits double-DIN, but maybe it does. Like I said, no experience at all. I'll check this out too.
Single DIN is 2 inches tall. Double is 4. The head unit, I'm assuming is the one you have, is a double, but some Accords came with a single stock, mainly the base models, I guess. You can fit a double DIN with ease. Here's a comparison. You can fit either a single, with a storage pocket underneath like the picture, or a double with no pocket.
Saw a news story from the UK about a woman who died of cancer having a massive nerdy funeral, But I noticed something about her hearse. Its a Ford G6E Falcon, which Ford never exported into the UK. Then I found that this company has 2 G6E hearses & a G6E limo. (The guy trying to say it was a Mondeo sure looked stupid) The pics from their website
Mine's got single-DIN and a storage pocket lower down. Looks like double-DIN should fit, but it might be at an awkward height. How mine looks basically. A double-DIN I like is the JVC KW-R710. I could grab a GPS unit instead, but $$$.
A double-DIN would fit perfectly, it's all your choice. And you might need to grab double-DIN mounts from the Honda dealer or junkyard to put a double in.
I forgot all about Crutchfield/Sonic Electronix bundling the parts... It's just what fits your preferences/budget now.
