Hey, table has turned around and this time it's me asking for some support. I'm still quite new to the laptop world, and a few things aren't still clear to me. My laptop is a Toshiba L-50B-1Q0 with these specs: Intel i7 4510U 16GB RAM AMD R7 M260 Intel HD 4000 My issue, as the title says, is that apparently the Integrated Card runs games faster than the Dedicated Graphics, which sounds pretty wrong. Some examples: -BeamNG Integrated: 60FPS Dedicated: 20FPS -Worms Reloaded Integrated: 80FPS Dedicated: 11FPS -XCom Enemy Unknown Integrated: 40FPS Dedicated: 20FPS I checked that with the drivers that comes installed on the laptop and after updating them to the latest version. No performance change. I monitored the GPU usage via MSI Afterburner and it seems both chips have normal loads (80-99%). Any thoughts?
Are you sure you don't just have them switched around? I know it sounds dumb, but HD4000 shouldn't be very high in BeamNG or XCOM, but the FPS numbers look fair enough for the dedicated card.
Is this correct? Thought you said it ran slower with dedicated graphics. As far as the problem goes, I have no idea.
Wops, I inverted the FPS. It's the other way round. Higher FPS on the Integrated, and much lower on the Dedicated.
Something we could try is benchmarking something with another HD4000. It's just that the integrated numbers seem so high for the iGPU they run on. Have you checked power management in windows settings and in CCC?
Checked the Power Settings in the CCC. I wasn't aware there was an option to set the 'power plan' for the Dedicated Card. It was set to 'Battery Saving' and changing it to 'Performance' did the trick. BeamNG now runs at 55-60FPS and Worms Revolution at 70FPS. Welp, thanks!
