Hi guys, I just installed those textures to the hatch:

    covet.png

I didn 't read the instructions, so i didn't install them correctly and i broke the hatch. (i deserved it)
And i got this when i entered for the first time after installing them:

    interior 1.png interior 2.png exterior 1.png exterior 2.png

As you can see, the windows look great from outside but not from inside :/ I tried to delete all the files that i installed, but i get the same problem. So then, this is my question: Is there a way to "clean" the hatch folder? I also get the same problem with the van, so i would like to also clean that folder :D

Delete those mods and delete the 'vehicles' folder in Documents /BeamNG.Drive.

I actually don 't have any Vehicles folder in my Documents/BeamNG folder, when i want to install a mod, i go to:

    Steam/SteamApps/Common/BeamNG/Content/Vehicles :(

That is how my Documents/BeamNG folder looks like:

    Sin título.png

I also deleted all the files related to the mod. But i get the same problem :(

    That's the wrong folder.
Mods need to be installed in /documents/beamng.drive/mods.
The only thing you can do if you haven't backed up the original textures is to delete the hatch.zip file and let steam redownload it.

I didnt back up them, but i found them in the Bin, i deleted the mod files and i reinstalled the original ones, but i got the same problem.

So, if i delete the Hatch folder (i suppose that i will do that), what do i have to do to Steam redownloads it?

Sorry if i speak broken English, im Spanish :/

Delete the hatch file like you mention.
Then go into steam. Right click beamNG.drive, properties, local files, verify integrity of game cache.

At least thats how it goes in english steam. I dont speak spanish. Its the 3rd tab and bottom button though.

Why? why did the devs do this, i still dont understand! the first year of this game was fine with us installing mods into the CORRECT path and now they have to go in some weird DOCUMENTS path outside of the game files, there was absolutely no reason to do this at this stage, seeing as it is just as difficult to install mods into documents rather than the actual game files.

And who came up with the idea that finished vehicles and levels would be in a ZIP file? this just causes even more problems because in that zip file there is for example a vehicles folder, then the actual vehicle folder, THEN the folders and files IN the vehicle folder itself.
If the vehicle is in a zip file it also cannot be modified in real time in the game! this makes jbeam and skin changes so much more difficult! you have to create 2 extra folders then put your mods into those folders if you want them to work properly.

@OP, The mod is old and incompatible with the current game version

Your logic says it's harder to type
    "Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods"

    than it is to type
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\content\vehicles"

I don't see how that causes problems. Mod makers don't release their mods saying "The point of his release is to mod it only"

If you want to mod an existing mod, extract it in the mods folder. Not so hard.

I dont type them out manually.

I was talking about fixing broken mods like the prelude, accessing zip files and restarting the game every time i make a change is alittle annoying.

Then unzip them, and then you can edit them while the game is running.

just take the zip, extract it so that it looks like this:

    Documents\BeamNG.drive\mods\vehicles\*car name here*\*car files here*
