Glad you got rid of the Corsa, felt sad when you talked about it.

 

The owner of the Porsche should understand the risk of driving/owning a vehicle that valuable in an area that looks as sketchy as the one in that picture.

Yup. My mom has a base model '10 RAV4. 0/10 would recommend.

My dad's Saab 9-5 Aero wagon had more space inside and was much MUCH nicer to be in. Got better mileage and was a lot faster too. (i4 turbo with 5 speed vs i4 N/A with 4 speed auto slushbox.)

 

Our rav is a turbo diesel with 6 speed manual. Think it's a 2012. Is awd, think some base models are fwd only?

Checked, its a 2010, probably the 2.2D4D as a result. All UK models were apparently awd, only really US and Japan where you could get the 2wd model. Seems the US only had 2 engine options, 1 with 4 speed auto, other with 5 speed auto. What a load of shite they offered you guys.

 

Yup. 4 cyl FWD with 4 speed slushbox. The diesel model is quite a bit faster. (I think it's something like 11 seconds to 60.) Most of the ones I see are V6 AWD but ours is the I4.

 

My ex-girlfriend's dad's Rav 4 was an I4 AWD. I didn't even know that was a possible option, I always thought you had to have the big engine, evidently not.

 

A bloke from the Chevrolet SS (VF Commodore) owners club organized a Holden meet in Orlando, Florida yesterday. He had 81 Commodores, 1 ute & 7 Monaros turn up. Glad to see these great cars getting love over seas.

Sure, let's just stop all of our major exports (coal, uranium, opals, oil, the 'c' word, Vegemite) and watch our economy get worse.

 

USA can have their Chevvy's, we can have our Holdens.

 

No centrelink carpark is full of Hyundai Excel, Nissan Pulsar, Holden VN & Toyota Tarago.

 

But what if I want a Holden? Chevy can make their crap, I'll import a Commodore just to spite you.

I ordered a G1W-H dash cam off Amazon today, but I might have to get a little creative wiring it up. I initally wanted to just use the 12V adapter, but since there isn't one in the glovebox I might just have to end up wiring it in or buying a auxiliary power adapter which uses the flashlight plug in the glovebox. It isn't very necessary, but I might get some entertaining footage over time.
