Hi, I have been doing a lot of research because I want to get the best computer that I can. I have settled on a 1600 USD computer. My uses are gaming, video recording, video rendering, other types of rendering, editing, 3d modeling, and everyday internet browsing. And befor you say that I should get an i5 instead of an i7, the i7 is better for what it plan to do, chech the 50 or so web sites I visited. Here is the build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/JacksonB15/saved/#view=K6Fqqs
Why not just upgrade your current pc with and i7 and 980? I wouldn't recommend getting a new pc when your pc is still new. Also Broadwell is just around the corner so I would suggest putting off getting any upgrades or getting a new pc until it is released.
Broadwell is mobile oriented. I would not recommend it for gaming. Or video editing. I don't see any reason for anyone to wait for Broadwell to be released.
Intel is skipping most broadwell desktop CPUs since the performance gain compared to Haswell is insignificant.
I have updated the build, going for a black and white color scheme, also is the 980 a good choice for recording this game at 1080p and a game as gpu intensive as mincraft at 4k?
If I were you I wouldn't get the OEM windows 8.1. If you were to switch the processor or motherboard, you'd need non-OEM. Just my opinion though, as I got the non-OEM and I switched my motherboard and processor.
