thoughts: Jbeamed satellites, asteroids, thruster based vehicles/ships, all in zero-g, could be fun.

*this coming from someone who hasn't done a legit vehicle mod* shouldn't be extremely hard to do; mesh it up and modify the Roamer's Jbeam...

Why are you using such an old and outdated version of BeamNG?

BeamNG died a little for me since i lost my 0.3.0.6 Version along with four mostly finished maps i was working on to a broken harddrive.
now im stuck with the recent version, its famous cache folder and its utterly confusing and imo unnessesary complicated ways of handling datapaths, so...
    goodbye content creation for me.

Cache was always there, it just ended up as ".dts" inside of the vehicle/map folders.

I totally sympathize with what Ghost187 said. Would you mind explaining a bit more on what happened with the caching process?
    Would definitely appreciate it.

the DTS files were the old form of "cdae" from cache. Now they are moved to the cache folder of Documents for easy access. The cache allows a huge increase of loading speed due to using binary files instead of text files for loading. These files are much smaller and binary can be read much faster.

The detection on whether or not these files need to be renewed needs to be fixed however, once that's done you shouldn't be having issues with the cache.

Thanks. Would be nice if a way could be found to "write back" to the source file with changes but still have the game use the set cache files for loading.
That probably sounds utterly retarded and ignorant but I'll figure it out. Okay, back on topic.
