i don't have any extra sata data cables, so unable to try that however the windows auto repair thing(not the manual access one, the one that windows defaults to whenever it fails to boot) each time says it's going to repair the hdd, so can only assume that it's something to do with the drive
Then at the very least use a Linux live CD of some sort to see if you can recover the files in case it's just a broken Windows install.
I'm getting this GPU and this PSU. I'm gonna order them this week, just wanted to check one last time that it'd run BeamNG nicely at medium settings.
i already am ubuntu runs surprisingly well, even as a live session - - - Updated - - - gpu should manage it fine, for psu though PERSONALLY i like to go at LEAST 80+ bronze, but that's just me
GPU is definitely good enough for that. I have a stock GTX 750 non-TI and I can run BeamNG at Max settings at 1080p 30fps, aslong as I don't leave PostFX on and don't spawn a T-Series.
Spend about £10 more on your PSU, make sure it is at least bronze, examples: http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-500B-B...d=1427916001&sr=8-1&keywords=evga+500w+bronze http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Bui...?ie=UTF8&qid=1427915952&sr=8-1&keywords=CX500
that's the first thing i thought of as i typed that, but it is true, ubuntu ran a lot better then i was expecting considering how much 6677 complains about it turning perfectly fine pc's into toasters
Something with a graphics chip that isnt integrated might be useful to you. But CS:GO should run on basically anything. If you really want you could get critical strike and install that on your phone or tablet and connect a mouse and keyboard via usb hub to your phone or tablet. Or you could use a bluetooth games controller but i doubt you would want that really. The touch screen controls are surprisingly good.
I have no experience with them, but aren't the X series Thinkpads 'ultra-thin' laptops? I hate those. gib big black plastic box pls
So lately I've been having problems with my PC. While playing a game, it will suddenly shut down, then instantly turn back on, then instantly shut back down, etc, etc. Specs are in sig; I have an Antec 902 case. All fans are on max, including CPU and GPU.
GPU not overheating, PSU adequate for my PC. Not sure why it happens. Usually happens during intensive games - I can only handle two laps around the Norschleife on rFactor before it cuts out.
*PSU should be accurate. If there are any BSOD codes whocrashed should be able to pick them up. If it's literally blackscreening it is probably the PSU.
I'm thinking about upgrading my cpu to an i7 4790k and someone told me about this website. http://siliconlottery.com
Unless you're planning to overclock, don't change your CPU. And unless you're planning to do editing/rendering, go for a 4690K. The difference in gaming is almost none. - - - Updated - - - What PSU do you actually have?
