Hey guys. I am fine with people bumping my threads. But everything that was pointed out is fairly obvious as I am (mostly) aware what the new update brought us. However I have not had the time to even open beamng for about 3 weeks now. I am not sure when I will get to bringing the mod up to date, because even if I started doing it right now, it would likely take a little while.
Everyone on the forums knows that the rules often aren't upheld constantly. They're more of guidelines. In this case, this bump would likely be ignored by the moderators, because it provides information about bugs. It's not like they bumped to just say random stuff that doesn't help nor contribute at all.
I didn't break any rules btw, I just came in here to give my opinion on you telling someone off for reporting bugs now shall we stop flooding this thread
I updated all the lighting for those "rusty buckets" back in July, but since I was banned from the Discord server (I still don't know the reason), I didn't know where to post—until I remembered there was a forum. Is my work still relevant, or is it too late?
the pack hasn't been updated for 0.39 as Ryan is unsure if his PC can even run the update, hasn't given an update as to whether he tried it yet (iirc)
You should still have my discord, message me there. I would love for your lights update to go on repo as I know your work doesnt seem to dissapoint.
already exists with the early deluxe models. If you want a fully chromed grille, there is an addon on the repo regarding the suspension issues, the same person who posted the thing about 0.39 lights on here has been posting their progress with bringing the TAZ up to date with fixed suspension, dummies, new triggers and such on Beamcord
(English version made with Google translate) Well, I hope I don’t get banned or pelted with tomatoes here for sharing a Google Drive link. Basically, someone who has never created mods before managed to adapt this modification for game version 0.40. Here’s what I’ve changed: - Adapted the headlight and taillight glow for version 0.39 (the taillights could be a bit brighter, but I don’t know how to edit textures). - Added support for the new dummies introduced in version 0.40. - Fixed the suspension spring stiffness for the TAZ Baikal, which stopped supporting the vehicle's weight after the 0.40 update. - Fixed a texture issue with the racing seats. - Added the ability to engage differential locks using the keyboard (you’ll need to assign the keys in the settings). - Adjusted the transmission gear ratios for more realistic vehicle dynamics and fuel consumption (the ratios are taken from the Ibishu Covet). Please note that this is my own personal version of the mod, reflecting my own vision; since I am not a professional modder, I ask for your understanding. Also, this version is based on mod version 1.3 (not 1.3.1), so please make sure to clear your cache. Keep in mind that because this is my personal take on the mod, the vehicle configurations may differ significantly from the official release, and you might not agree with all of them. As for the new triggers—they haven’t been implemented yet. I’m not sure when—or even if—I’ll be able to add them, given that I have zero modding experience. althrough the triggers2 trigger names would have been very nice, the internal names are comically long
I might make them someday, but I can’t guarantee it. Most likely, every single trigger would have to be rebuilt from scratch. I’m not sure I have the patience for that.
