The devs might be holding back features so the youtubers testing ps5 don’t reveal them. But I am probably wrong
I know youtubers got early access but seeing them use the truck i am saddened to see no recovery truck config nor racing truck config. It still looks amazing but i didn't think the devs would miss those two important configs. Maybe the truck release is abit away for pc users but god i hope they can work some magic to get them two done.
the eu rig is nice looking, but i am surprised by the lack of variety on release BUT the t-series remaster wasnt to different in that case so i suppose a firetruck, racing config, and more upfits have a chance to come in the early updates of 2027 or the December one
The big surprise for me is the lack of chaos config. Combined with the lack of dump truck and how few drivetrain configurations there are compared to what this truck could get is the biggest indication to me that there will either be a part 2 or the CC's did not get all the content for their videos. The lack of racing truck doesn't completely surprise me as Euro racing trucks have little in common with the production versions, compared to a GATR MD/T/TC which would need relatively little modification yet we never got any in game (Basically they all would just need unique tires, stripped down parts, rear mounted fuel tank, and a roll cage)
Well I too am sad about no feuerwehr config but I'm confident more content will drop later. And if nothing else then the modded firetruck upfit will be adapted to the Percheron surely.
That's what I'm hoping for - the devs wanted the CCs to show off the basic versions that had already been revealed, so the devs could reveal the cool stuff later. That would be pretty funny - have a bit of disappointment now, but have a big amount of excitement on release. But I feel like that's just cope at this point. Holy shit, you're right - there is no dump truck. There are mixer versions (which I love) and I do think it's great that we've finally gotten an AWD semi truck. I love a lot about the Percheron - it's just that I'm wondering where the rest of it is. I guess the chaos config will be revealed on release (hopefully). The lack of a rollback doesn't surprise me - the MD didn't get one, so I didn't think the Percheron would get one.
I was thinking the exact same thing. The lack of a dump truck was extremely suprising to me. Both the T-series (post remaster at least, and maybe pre-remaster) and the MD series launched with a dump truck on initial release. I think that’s a bit strange. Also, every large vehicle we’ve gotten since the early days has had a “chaos” config (with the exception of the WL-40). I honestly expected at least a Percheron with JATO rockets, if not a Ram-plow config. that’s really really my only issue with the Percheron, the lack of variety. I’m sure future updates might change that, the T series remaster was a several part update after all, but there needs to be at least a dump truck and some chaos config IMO. I’d also love to see a EU log truck upfit in the future.
The pre-remaster T-Series did have a dump body, but I believe it was significantly shorter than the post-remaster dump body. I don't have the actual measurements but I suspect the pre-remaster was a 16cy body and the post remaster is a 20cy body. Wish we had the option for either. Once again the MD could get more content here as currently it only has a mason dump when the beefier versions of the Kodiak could be found with 12cy dump bodies.
It would be unlike the devs to not have a chaos config. However, the TC-series cabover didn't get one, not to my knowledge anyway...
long time no see i guess any new leaks? (except the things in muye video ) and do we know if we get the car crusher this update?
yeah i thought that too but no one in the 0.40 preview showed or talked about the crusher so i am a bit concernd
What I guess is happening with the truck, Is that probably the Devs are still testing out some things for it. I bet we will see more configs for the release of 0.40. But seeing lots of these youtubers trying the game out leads me to believe that we might see the Update in the matter of days, to a week. Maybe PC will get it first but, we will see.
Maybe I’m the weird one, but seeing all these videos on YouTube about the 0.40 update has kind of taken away that element of surprise I usually feel before an update. I used to be excited to discover all the new things that had been added, all the new details on the new vehicles, once the update was finally available to everyone. Now I basically already know what to expect. There won’t be that same element of surprise anymore because we pretty much already know everything. And what was the point of showing the new truck through YouTubers in practically every detail if we still have to wait almost two more weeks? Personally, and this is just my opinion, I think the #TeaserTuesday posts would have been enough. That way, on October 19th, everyone would finally have had the chance to see the new features of the game with their own eyes and actually play them.
The update may not surprise us, but the anticipation is still there the anticipation to play it on PS5, to play split screen, to play with the EU truck ourselves, plus everything else shown in the videos. The content may not be a surprise anymore, but there's still lots of fun to discover once the update drops! I don't see how the update not being a surprise is necessarily a bad thing
Dump bed upfit is probably coming with more offroad parts later. Most construction site trucks I see (mostly Renault and MAN which seem to be the 2 biggest influences for the Percheron) come in high clearance heavy duty variants.
I’d say that’s likely. It’s not like they’re lacking of the chassis necessary to make it, most EU dump trucks I’ve found use the same twin front steer chassis that the flatbed config uses. It’ll probably just come later, or maybe in the full release of 0.40
