I notice something strange between the current DirectX 11 and the new DirectX 12. When running the game in DX11, even the lowest lighting settings put a high load on the CPU, causing a CPU bottleneck in my game (even though it's an R7 5800H). But when using DX12 with the same lighting settings, there are no more CPU issues. What happened to the old DX11 API?
Hey so I wanted to report a bug. When choosing a police config and then trying to change any parts of the car, even something as small as the license plate, the car would lose its police status and the ai would treat it as a normal car. The workaround is to create a .json file and write config type= police but this is annoying as fuck. Every time I want to change something on my cop car I need to go through the same process Yes I have tested the safe mode, the clear cache, deleted all my mods, deleted the user folder, deleted beamng install folder from steam, reinstalled the game and it still happens
Its not a bug, thats just how it works. When you change anything on a config it is no longer tied to the original config
I have a very beefy system with a 5070tic, and it takes and absolute eternity to load one of the bigger maps. It already took long but now it's doubled I estimate. The GPU is crying in pain, the overdose of 'bloom' can't be disabled, and the auto-exposure in and out of tunnels makes no sense. I tried changing the graphics details, and it immediately applies after clicking or sliding the slider, it took about 3 minutes of 'freeze' for the lower quality map details to load. And then again when chainging the setting again. At that point I was done 'having fun' and force quit. This update has removed the 'fun' part of playing a game and I'll be searching for something else probably. I did like the new menu layout though Edit: Oh and I clicked the 'Support' button in the ' Support tools' of the Launcher (to see if I could roll back the update) and it started to do a "verify integrity" scan that I could NOT cancel. Really wtf... Automatic updates should really, really be easy to disable and I don't even understand why it isn't. They don't get extra money for an update so what's the point of forcing updates without even first asking. It just starts to update when you click the icon... (I've learned that there are workarounds but that's not the point I'm making here.)
...it considers the new vehicle a temporary config, or else it would need to overwrite the existing config. What a dilemma
I’ve been wondering for a bit and wanted to ask if the mod limit bug that limits mods to 300 to 500 was fixed, and yes I know having almost 900 mods is crazy but I am cleaning my folder soon, and I wanted to get a true answer as last hot fixes didn’t seem to fix said bug, and I didn’t want to risk my user folder from breaking so if anyone has an answer to this bug please let me know, as I have been waiting through bug fixes and teasers only playing on safe mode without a risk of getting multiple bugs on my main.
They should add some kind of context part slot that allows you to define a vehicle as a police car, taxi, race car, etc.
The indicators on the cherrier FCV (vivace and tograc) are really hard to see during the day. The same issue as with the lightbars, but that has since been fixed.
I'm finally getting a good amount of 75-80 FPS! I still have massive lag problems with spawning vehicles ...
Developers need to introduce a setting that will allow us to use older 0.38 graphics at 0.39 and in future versions
I see you have 1 post on this forum, so I'm gonna let you know right now, not only is that never going to happen, that's also not how that works. The game now uses a physically based lighting system. I'm guessing your machine has difficulty running the game, so you have two options: decrease in-game graphic settings, or buy better hardware.
Wow. So a person has one post and you are the gate keeper? Who are you to determine what someone says on a public forum? Just trying to "educate" them? This is a discussion forum. So let them discuss.
Nowhere in my post said it was wrong, nor did it say rude. It struck me as "entitled". And I quote: "I see you have 1 post on this forum, so I'm gonna let you know right now..."
As in he's probably not reading every patch note, dev blog, tdev discord post, etc., etc., etc.....I could be way off the mark, but he's probably a dude who just plays the game, and is having less fun with the game because of the update. I'm giving him the long answer short.
