Hi! This is an easy tutorial to add PBR on a car.
Without further ado, let's go !

    Step 1 :
    Spawn your car.

    Step 2 :
Open your world editor menu by clicking F11 on your keyboard and open Materials Editor in the "window" menu on the top left corner of your screen.

    Step 3 :
Search for "YOUR-CAR-NAME_body". It can also be an "_paint" like in my case.

    Step 4 :
When you have found your car body textures it should look like a big white cube :

When you found it, scroll a little and click on "Switch to 1.5 PBR"

    Step 5 :
Under it, there should be a + and a -, click both one time.

    Step 6 :
Once your car is white, tick "Instance Basecolor"

    Step 7 :
Slide the Metallic Map to 1.000.

Scroll a little, then, slide the "Roughness Map" to 0.933 or less.

    Step 8 :
Scroll down until you see "Advanced Features" click it, it should be a drop down menu, then slide the Factors like this :

    Step 9 :
Save all the dirty materials :

    Step 10 :
Then go into the Vehicle Parts Selector, click "Save and Load" and click on "Open user folder".

    When it opens, you should have a "materials.cs" file, keep this opened and open your car's folder, find the original "materials.cs" file, delete the original one, and replace it with the new one ;

Now, restart the game and you're done !

(Working on Alpha v.0.38.4, i'll keep this tutorial updated.)

i'm pretty sure you have to repeat those steps for the skins too

iirc the skins are (presumably, depending on the mod you're using) set as skin materials and are also found in the material editor, if equipped, obviously. if so, just repeat all the steps from the tutorial (excluding the base paint since you're probably gonna be using the skin texture anyway), and it should work in theory

Well for skins its kinda weird, for example in most cases if you try to make the skin pbr it will just get white with your Metallic Map and Roughness Map settings, but in some cases (206 from xeromastor for example) it will get metallic and still keep the texture.
