I mean yes, the update is taking a bit long and many people are getting tired of waiting. But this update will be amazing and 100% worth the wait. 0.39 will be 80 times better than the 0.38 update. The best thing we can do is to wait and be patient.
Erm... --- Post updated --- And people are so immature that one person made a Reddit post that Tdev said that this update would never come out, it's being cancelled. --- Post updated --- The same person who was being impatient for the update.
Thankfully, they are improving graphics. Because 0.38 graphics look a bit dated to me tbh. 0.39 graphics will be great.
July 26th is a Sunday - the devs would not drop a major update (especially not one this big) on a weekend. They haven't done weekend updates in over 10 years - the last one was 0.6 (Saturday, 23 July 2016). The wait (the longest in the past 10 years, and the second longest since 0.3.1, which dropped over nine months after 0.3.0.5) probably exacerbates the anticipation on top of all the new features (like drafting and the new graphics). Also, the Ardente will be the first brand-new passenger car since the Lansdale (0.29, July 2023) and the first modern passenger car since the Scintilla (0.25, June 2022). A similar thing happened with 0.9 - that had the longest wait period between updates since 0.3.1 (about four months between it and 0.8). The update speculation thread had to be closed at least once (on April 1st, 2017) to deal with the wave of hype for the Hopper. It was crazy how much people wanted that little off-roader.
Ok, this is getting funny for a moment. --- Post updated --- I'm really sad that the ETK 900 got discontinued.
0.38 graphics is not dated at all. Plus, we should be satisfied of what we already have instead of wanting more, more, and more.
I respect your opinion, but in my opinion it feels a bit dated to me. I do agree that the 0.39 graphics will be amazing. --- Post updated --- I'm not like being greedy, but I'm just saying that the graphics of 0.38 look a bit dated to me.
