Update Speculation thread

I just came back from somewhere and man, is the hype train growing every second!

 

I can't decide whether the devs are glad they decided to give us so much to go off of, or are regretting that they ever decided to feed us little morsels at this point XD
The hype train has been working overtime this past month or so

 

Tdev said he'd throw an ice cream party for 0.39. I want ice cream

 

Update confirmation：We can eat ice cream in BeamNG before gta6.

 

You guys are forgetting one important thing: summer vacation. The dev team is likely having a 2 week holiday split on the last week of July and first week of August. Depending on how finished it is, they could be crunching to drop it on or before the 24th, which is a Friday. Who knows if they'll try to get an earlier release to be able to push out a hotfix or two before the vacay. But since we're getting to see a lot of behind the scenes development stuff, it could mean that the update is also far from being finished, in which case it would release on or after the 10th of August.

Disclaimer: I am not aware of how summer holidays are scheduled at the BeamNG studio and I am merely speculating.

 

honestly I feel like they are literally gleeful and excited to tell us EVERYTHING theyve been doing. everyone keeps saying the 12th. I REALLY REALLY hope thats true. BEING HONEST with the very latest teaser. theyre in the editing stages of the video theyre going to put on youtube if im correct. if this is correct theyre less than 60 hours from dropping the next update on all our heads like "have fun" lol

Considering the original teaser trailers returned after 4 months, and that Nadeox1 is making a trailer (apparently?), and Leeloo said she'll try to show something this weekend, theres a good chance the update will be released in July. Im not 100% sure, but the only thing we know for sure is that time will tell

 

Theyre VERY close to ready for dropping 0.39.

 

I think it would be a missed opportunity to NOT drop the update on August 3rd, since that would be the day that BeamNG.drive turns 13 years old. The "Something new is on the horizon" video dropped on May 28th and had the same gabester song as BeamNG's first ever video, which was uploaded on May 28th, 2012.

 

Here where I live, July 12th is a Sunday, lol.
