Yeah and some mod cars do have interior lights. It'd make sense too, since night time is something that they'd expect players to actually use. I do wonder if they'll cater some gameplay around the fact that Beam now will have realistic night time lighting? Maybe some spooky scenarios? I could see some new Arrive missions set at night to make it more difficult.
Just a thought, but how do you guys think they will implement cursor controls on a dualsense? As beam has openable doors and all that you need a mouse for and also, there are so many keybinds... Are Ps5 users going to have to use an external keyboard?
I use a dualsense and they've added awesome support for its features lately like the led matches RPM like a shift light and the adaptive triggers are tuned pretty awesome. I think the touchpad is just one button right now but steam input has awesome options for quick menus using the touchpad so you can add almost limitless amounts of hotkeys. Dualsense is like the best pc controller I've ever used. I'm pretty sure you just push X to open doors and such but I can fully sit on the couch and not need a keyboard for like 95% of things other than editing replays and such.
it would be nice, especially if they added it the the camper trailer...the gm limo and md school bus both have working dome lights so bringing it over to other cars isn't to far fetched
I believe it is possible considering the most recently added vehicles as of version 0.38 have working interior lights as well, that being the Hirochi HT55 and Hirochi WL40.
as you can see the car has 4 wheels so if you add up 4 three times you get 12 so JULY 12TH IS THE UPDATE DAY CONFIRMED!?!?! --- Post updated --- seriously tho this looks SO good i love how the colors pop more now too
I think this new teaser means they're very close to releasing the update, to the point that they're already working on the trailer for the Ardente. The July 12 release date might be plausible.
https://media-cdn.beamng.com/SS2M2ed3uXhbtM6w here’s the link for the video. Appears to be music based lighting for replay or something? Also Ardente name confirmed (not sure if it already was ) Edit: I now noticed the name of the windows, so it looks like we’re getting a reworked camera path editor and an audio reactor? Might be dev only… not sure
Did you guys see this? CrashHavenBNG posted this from the something new is on the horizon news page. Also, look at my post at the back of the posts. It might be interesting.
Wow, I set something off with y'all. I haven't had so many replies in a while. But anyway. -Metronome: When people say "RWD car", they usually mean "longitudinal RWD petrol-powered car", like the BX or the Grand Marshal or (more relevant to the Ardente) the K-Series. To be honest, I don't think the Ardente was ever going to be RWD - as I said here, FWD cars have been very rare since 0.8, with the only four out of 20 new vehicles (21 if you count the MR Turbo) being the Soliads and FCV. -The others: This has been a more common trend since 0.28. That update upset quite a few people, and I think the sting of disappointment from that update's been looming over the community for the past three years. (And the trend of updates having a yearly theme means that if someone doesn't like the content from one update, they'd likely have to wait a whole year to get content they do want.) While I agree that the trailer being worked on means that the update's very likely coming out soon, it won't be on the 12th, as that's on a Sunday and the devs haven't done a Sunday release in almost 11 years. But the week of the 12th (say, the 14th-16th)? That could happen. The Ardente name was already confirmed two weeks ago.
